sly grin spreads across his lips, all too ready to give her a list of all the times ( that he could think of right on the spot ) her plans hadn’t worked out. it would be far too entertaining for the soldier to do so, but before he can, she rightfully stops him — likely knowing that he would have way too much fun with it. “ oh, a college degree … that’s right. you’re a fancy one. ” he teases, grin never wavering from his lips. he’s tempted to tell her that she doesn’t have to pout to get his help when what she’s proposing is something so incredibly up his alley, but he doesn’t. it wasn’t an unpleasant sight by any means, so he wouldn’t pass up on it. “ lead the way, cassie. i’m ready to make him pay. ”
“real fancy, look at how much use i get out of it,” cassie joked, gesturing to the clubhouse. it was lighthearted because right now, she was comfortable in her life. besides, she did get some use out of the degree, even if it was just hacking hospital and police files. cassie let out a slight squeal in excitement at his agreement and tugged on her arm as she started to leave the building. “this will be so fun! i’ve got a couple of cans of silly string in my bag so it’ll be a real party.”

𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐊 her head at her reply , while reaching for the cigarette to take it back . “ nah , my dear. we are both unique . we don’t need to put a label on us, honestly. ” slowly , the reaper leaned over to the counter of the bar, blue eyes scanning the area behind it for the barkeeper until she caught her, blowing smoke in the air in the meantime. thankfully , the alcohol she had already managed to drink this evening, gave her a boost of confidence and if one looked closely, they’d even see that she was trying to flirt with the woman that just joined these two and asked what they could bring them. a rather rare sight , as victoria wasn’t one for such behavior . oh, what alcohol could do to people. “ tequila. lots of tequila. just keep it comin’. it’s all on me. ” and it didn’t take long before two shots were standing infront of her and cassie , the tequila bottle right next to it & victoria’s attention was finally drawn towards her friend again. “ just admit it, without me , it must have been pretty boring here. ”
“wow, you’re right! we’re unique, one of a kind. some would describe us an experience. we can’t be tied down with simple labels, because we’re much more than that,” cassie ranted, while nodding in agreement with her friend. she handed victoria back the cigarette and eyes studied her as she caught the attention of the bartender. they were soon distracted though by the ever changing lights above the bar and mind wondered to watching the colours dance on the ceiling before noticing the shots were now in front of them and cassie grinned again, picking hers up and getting ready to throw it down her throat. “it was -- you not being here is partly why i left for a while myself. you have to promise not to do a disappearing act without me again. being on the run without a friend can’t have been fun,” she said a hand raised and finger pointed accusingly at vic.

Night had just fallen when Athena decided to go for a walk. She needed to get out of her house and take a breather, but it seemed like that wasn’t going to happen. Too many people were around and too many of them kept staring at her like they knew her. As the woman walked, her music blasted in her ears as she zoned out, not paying attention to where she was going.
The figure in front of her was firm. Like they had been stopped when she had crashed into their back. Athena knew it was careless of her, always pay attention to her surroundings, but she let herself slip tonight. And it resulted in her getting a cracked screen and a string of curse words leaving her mouth.
“Son of a bitch.” She muttered under her breath as she bent down to pick up the broken phone that was now at her feet. Leaning back up, Athena took the hood off her head and looked at the figure in front of her. “Sorry about that, yeah?”
@erraticisms
cassie rose with the moon. she always had and maybe it was a trait that went along with her name. like her namesake, she shone brightest during the night. it all stemmed back to spending so much time in the backyard with her father when she was a child -- memories that cassie now liked to block out. but it was a lot less easy to try and forget habits, though. plus that and the lifestyle cassie led were all factors on why she was always up and about at night.
she had no specific plans for that night, but had made edibles in the early morning, so cassie had ate a few of them. somehow she had found herself outside and in her intoxicated state, couldn’t help but stop straight in her tracks to admire how pretty the sky looked -- even through all the light pollution. the sudden impact snapped cassie back into some sort of consciousness and when she turned, she audibly gasped. “oh fuck,” the girl expressed, taking note of the broken phone. “was that my fault?”

he couldn’t deny the sense of relief that came the moment he saw her, every fear suddenly dwindling for the briefest of seconds. he cared, far too much, about cassie. it physically pained him whenever she left – causing his mind to wander towards the darkest of places. it terrified him how easily she could tug at heart strings, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. she was supposed to be a fling, nothing more than a groupie – yet here he found himself.
“…i missed you too. ” there’s a heavy sigh that escapes his lips, arms instinctively circling around her waist – desperate for the touch he’s been desperately craving. his grip around her tightens, almost as if he’s afraid to lose her again. there’s a brief moment of silence, the reaper at a loss for words. his vindictive nature was screaming to kick her to the curb, get rid of her before she could stab him in the back – but he couldn’t quite bring himself to do so.
“ what ?? “ her words drag him out of his train of thought, briefly glancing towards the table. a small, sad smile seems to tug at his lips for a second before vanishing as quickly as it appeared. “ a pinata instead of a text back – fantastic. ” his tone came out a lot harsher than intended.
the feel of his arms around her waist is so familiar to her that she wondered at what point she started to call them home. sure, being in stratford and with the reapers were where cassie was now comfortable -- she always found herself coming back, after all. but something in the back of her mind told her that there was only one thing actually tying her here. and if he were to leave town, she would follow.
she had expected harshness from him -- but it still hurt when cassie heard it. she recoiled from him, removing her arms from his neck and stepping back, but only slightly. even if she had been expecting it, cassie couldn’t prepare for it. it wasn’t uncommon for westley to be cold towards someone, she had witnessed it many times, just never directed towards her.
to the normal person, it would be understandable why he was upset. just getting up and disappearing one day is not how most people acted. but she had thought he would be just as excited to see her. “i left you a note...” cassie started, a confused expression on her face at why he was angry with her. “and i did text you. i told you like two weeks ago i was in mexico. i thought -- i thought you’d be happy to have me back.” she didn’t want to be on his bad side and she didn’t want to get into anything. cassie just wanted to ignore it and go back to the way things were before.

“ 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 to regret this ”, she said sternly , eyes angrily glaring at the other woman when she started to pull out her phone . thank god she could take it down as quickly as she uploaded it . “ it’s not exactly wise to threaten a professional hacker to make them internet famous . ” while the playful anger didn’t disappear from her dark eyes , she couldn’t help it but laugh softly , not believing that yet again cassie had managed to get her to do some horrible shit . vanessa really needed to stop betting on games she always would lose . she took the glass in her hand and her mouth formed a disgusted o-shape , before the brunette quickly gulped it down , hand immediately in front of her mouth to keep the strange drink where it belongs . “ i hate you for this ” , she breathed out when she had finally managed to completely down it . “ can we please just go back to some proper alcohol now & stop with the drinking games ? or at least don’t give me stupid dares anymore . ”
“well that’s why you shouldn’t worry too much -- i know you could get rid of it faster than i blink,” cassie said, continuing to grin. it was true, vanessa was more experienced and frankly all around better than cassie when it came to the hacking game. but that’s why cassie had gravitated to her when she had found out -- to learn. “but in all honesty the video is just for my amusement and proof that you lost.” she smirked then laughed loudly when vanessa had finished the drink, stopping the recording and putting her phone on the table. “okay proper alcohol it is -- unless you want to dare me to do something. i’ll take anything in retaliation.”

“are we allies or enemies?” ; calla + cass @erraticisms
Calla had to physically take a step back at the question. It wasn’t often anyone thought she was capable of anything except producing sunshine and smiles, so when it did happen, the brunette found herself off balance with the idea. “I’m not sure what I could ever assist you with,” besides a good time, she thought, “But I know for sure we aren’t enemies.” No matter if the town seemed divided, she tried to hold her own judgement to individuals, mostly because she held hope others would do the same for her. Closing the distance between them again, she wrapped one of Cassie’s hands up in between her two. “But if you’ll have me, I would even take the term as hopeful friend?” Head canting, she smiled while she rocked a bit side to side. “I make really awesome party favors, if that helps my case at all.”
cassie was one of those people who knew a lot of people, but a lot of them never really fell into the category of friend. it was particularly thin ice when it came to, what others would call, fraternising, with anyone related to the diablos. cassie was loyal to the reapers, but calla wasn’t exactly one of them, really. cassie would say they had a lot in common. but she needed to work out what kind of relationship they had first. calla’s words made cassie grin. “definitely not enemies,” she said, nodding with the words. she placed her remaining hand on top of her other which was sandwiched between calla’s. “but friend is what i was hoping for -- with or without the party favours... but i am curious as to what they are.” she said the last sentence with a small and mischievous giggle.

“ really? that’s the hill you wanna die on? ” a scoff escapes him and he shakes his head, but the action doesn’t lack humor. he does think cassie’s words are hilarious, if only because he’d bet there isn’t an ounce of truth in them. instead, he settles for an amused expression. “ only because it is, as i said, a bad idea. ” leonardo insists, turning to look at her with a quirked brow. “ so you’ll be the brains? might as well say our goodbyes now. ”
“yes -- of course i’ll be the brains! i’d like you to name one time where my plans haven’t worked out.” she paused for a moment, thinking that over. “actually, don’t answer that. but i do have a college degree you know. that counts for something!” cassie pouted at him. granted, a lot of her plans did end in disaster. but it only added onto the fun of things. “look, you can be the muscle and the looks. it’s a good offer... and trust me. it’s a good idea. look i know when he’s gonna be out. we just sneak in, trash some shit and get out. this guy conned me into giving him a free tattoo -- you know i only do that for reapers only. he’s gotta pay somehow.” she made her pout even bigger and tugged on his arm a little bit. “please?”

@erraticisms said : ❝ know what i love about partying with a bunch of crooks ? nobody cares that you smoke indoors. ❞ / cassie & victoria
𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄 loosely hanging between her bruised lips , a glass of whiskey in her right hand & her left arm wrapped around the shoulders of the other woman , victoria couldn’t help it but laugh out loudly at the words she just heard . she definitely blamed the alcohol in her system for her rather unusual behavior , but the brunette just needed to feel something for once that was not pain . betrayal . and most importantly , she didn’t want to feel lonely , which had been a permant state for her the last two months . and before she’d party with another reaper that wasn’t cassie & probably needed to face a proper talk about what had happened to her , she had called her . with cassie , she knew that she wouldn’t care . that she could just forget . she was just as much of a troublemaker as the soldier was , too . “ you do know we are theoretically a bunch of crooks too , right ? ” she blew some smoke into the air of the club , handing the cigarette over to the other girl . “ but seriously , i’m glad you had some time to join me tonight . i owe you one . so , tell me what you want to drink — and it’s all yours . ”
cassie had a tendency to not fully understand the severity of situations. or so she liked people to believe. in reality she just ignored situations. she always had done since she was a teenager and began to now. cassie knew what had happened between the diablos and reapers and knew why victoria had disappeared. but she didn’t question it when her friend turned back up in town and asked cassie if she wanted to hang out. if victoira wanted to tell her -- she’d tell her. “no -- i’d class us more as miscreants. or swindlers maybe,” cassie countered, before taking the cigarette and taking a puff of it herself. “we need a label that’s fun to say.” she shook her head at the next words. “you don’t owe me anything. you know i’m always down for a spontaneous night out -- but tonight i’m feeling tequila.”

’ !! i think u should drop by the apartment today ‘ ’ bc there’s a surprise there for u ' ’ spoiler alert: it’s me!!! i’m back :)
anxious was not a typical emotion for the biker, but the way he stared down at his phone would indicate otherwise. cassie and west were inseparable at times, spending most nights together, but the past month he’s barley received a text from her. he would never admit, not even to himself, that his heart ached whenever she disappeared on him. coming to terms with the fact that he had genuine feelings for her felt…terrifying. although, it didn’t quite stop him from running out of the clubhouse and riding off on his bike without a word.
it didn’t take him long to reach his apartment, blowing through multiple red lights on his way, all but sprinting up the stairs as he fumbled about with his keys before finally unlocking the door. however, once he was actually now in the same vicinity as cassie he seemed to be frozen in place. he would kick himself later for allowing his nerves getting the best of him.
“ cassie ?? “ he calls out, unable to move further into the apartment.
a disappearing act every now and again was in cassie’s nature. a few days here and there. maybe a week or so. but she’d always text or call westley to let him know where she was and that she was safe. but even she had to admit that a month was a bit extreme -- and when she had only left a note in her place. a vague one at that. a simple ‘i’m going away for a while’. the least she could have done was answer his texts. but she rarely even did that.
and what was she supposed to say now that she had finally come back? west would probably want an explanation -- an explanation that cassie didn’t have. it’s not exactly as if she could admit that she felt as though things were becoming too domestic... because what the fuck did that even mean? how domestic could life in an mc get?
cassie hoped he didn’t ask her and already had plans in place to divert the conversation away. she had already popped two pills in preparation for the reunion and when he unlocked the door, cassie jumped up. rushing forwards, arms flung out to wrap around west’s neck in an embrace.
“hi!” she exclaimed, mostly into his neck. when she pulled away, she held his gaze but kept her arms around his neck, smiling softly at him. “i missed you.” the moment was tender and cassie had forgotten how much she had missed them.
“i brought you a pinata,” she said finally, head turning to look at the llama shape on the table.

“i mean if you’re going to die,” cassie started, pulling out her phone and starting to recording the situation. “this is the best way to go. give people a few laughs. might even go viral. then you’ve got a legacy.” she looked back down to the drink combination she had made. “actually, i don’t blame you for being dramatic i put quite a lot of hot sauce in it... one of us has to drink this though. i’m dedicated to giving the internet some content now.”

“well i dispute that sentence,” cassie started. “because i never have bad ideas -- and i won’t take criticism on that.” about ninety percent of her idea were bad. or at least ended up in bad situations. but that was where the fun came from. she was just excited that she could rope someone into this plan. “but i’m glad i’ve got you on board.” she slides one of arms around his and hooks herself on like a leech. “you can be the muscle.”

@wrrgod hayley stevens: ‘i’d say about half of it i don’t remember doing.’ from x
she laughs at her friends words -- cassie had certainly had nights where whole sections were missing from her memory. anything could have happened in between memories and she never really cared whether it was something bad or not. life was too short to dwell on intoxicated mistakes. “okay -- then tell me about the half you do remember doing,” cassie prompted. “because this sounds like one spicy story.”

prodigalscns:
there was something about the darkness that either calmed him or set him on edge, and it depended on the night. currently, he was a victim of his own circumstance, sneaking out into the workshop, head tipped down as he concentrated on two things. first, it was the gun in his hand, the pieces dissected carefully, one by one. it was muscle memory mostly, but there was something else there, perhaps a care that was hard to place. the second, the music playing in the background was soothing jazz, the old greats, humming along with the twang in the bass line, barely noticing that the doorway was now occupied. bright eyes were lifted from the task at hand, the distraction he’d crafted out of weaponry, subtle laugh following too closely behind. “to what do i owe the pleasure?” the question was rhetorical, maybe, or maybe it was amusement, it was purposely positioned to be hard to read. @ridereblogs
it wasn’t uncommon for cassie to roam around at night. in fact, she thrived in the dead of the night. it was very rare for her to function through daylight hours. sometimes she even liked to pretend that she was a vampire -- a childish thing, yet she still did so. it was the sound of jazz flowing from the door and the light that pooled out that grabbed her attention. before she knew it she would stood in the door way, head tilted in curiosity. cassie’s shoulders rose and fell with his question. “just curious... don’t hear many people listening to jazz around here.”
