Today I received a cruel comment from a stranger on Tumblr who wrote: “What is happening to you in Gaza is not enough, you all should be burned and killed.” I read those words with tears in my eyes. We are innocent. We lost our homes, our loved ones, and our work, and now we are left with nothing but tents that cannot protect us from the heat or the cold. Every day we are displaced again, and then someone comes to add more pain with such hateful words.

Why all this silence? No one is doing anything. Israeli missiles bombed the tents of the displaced at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The bodies of children, women and men were charred. No one was able to save them from the severity of the fire. Why all this failure, O world, where are the rulers? Where are the institutions that claim to be institutions that protect human rights? Where are we? We are going. We have never seen anything like this before. Please make our voice heard to every official, to everyone who can do nothing. O God, be with us, O God

The days have passed filled with loss and hunger. We no longer go to school—education has stopped, my school and home were bombed, and now my sister, her four daughters, and I all live in a single room.

We are struggling just to find a bite to eat, to have a roof that protects us from rain, rocket shrapnel, and the smell of gunpowder. Time passed, and I was supposed to take my final exams this year, but the war took away our right to education in every way.

We are facing the worst living conditions—insanely high prices for food, cleaning supplies, and medicine. We are displaced after losing our home. My father was injured while trying to find food; he suffers from a herniated disc in his back.
