i think in the grand scheme of things, this is a symbolic representation of how we chase glory in the wrong things; and the fake happiness that it gives us. it gives us a sense of adrenaline, of euphoria, of a certain high, of being "in control". but in the end, it's all taken away from us in an abrupt, painful manner. in the end, we're left with ourselves, trapped in a prison of sadness that's everlasting and that's when we should look for the right things, the right people, to guide us through that sadness.
