There's a lot of weird shit in the Uhura tags especially about SNW. I'm going to be honest there's a lot about SNW I'm not jazzed on. The cynicism, some of the arcs and to be frank a lot of the relationships.

But it's very weird to me how people are intent on tearing down Celia Rose Gooding's appearance. Personally I really like that a darker skinned black woman is playing Uhura and Celia's acting isn't really my issue with SNW's Uhura. I more wish that Uhura was allowed to be fun. There's been so much shenagins on the show, let Uhura be apart of it and be the demented little brat she could be on TOS.

I'm hoping they're long-gaming it and we'll start to see that side of Uhura as her arc unfolds but I'm not super impressed by the show's writing.

Uhura's character is about joy to me and it bums me out people are using that tear down a young actress
