Very comforted with old crafts - spinning and weaving, but doubtless applicable to more - that there are no new mistakes I can make. People have done these crafts for millenia and will continue to do them for millenia. I manage to make a special and unique one-time-only mistake? Not likely!

St. Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179)💙
A mystic, composer, herbalist, and visionary, St. Hildegard of Bingen was a female legend of history!! She received divine visions from a very young age, & later recorded her revelations in texts and visionary art. She blended theology, cosmology, & natural healing into her writing.
She was a pioneer of sacred music and holistic medicine, and quite ahead of her time. She was canonized and later named a Doctor of the Church.

For everyone wanting to know what the embroidery jacket as a whole looks like because it's been a while: this is it. As you can see, it's getting crowded - but not nearly crowded enough to stop. My estimate is that it'll take me at least a few more years to finish this project. Possibly a decade if I really do want to fill every single as of yet empty space.

the hours between 8-11pm should be reusable. optional mini time loop you can rewind and start over if you had more tasks to do or another book to read or the first three hours hanging out w your friend weren’t enough

do not 'oh it's just mascara' me i mean ANYTHING if you would hesitate to leave the house for a certain occasion without applying a certain thing to your face then you wear makeup for that occasion
#I only wear makeup for special occasions like funerals weddings graduations and other big days#going to concerts if I want to dress up for a particular vibe or theme#if my friends are visiting and we want to look cute but only maybe?#if I'm filming videos for Instagram or I'm on an interview but again only maybe#camera quality+ glasses obscures it most of the times#for parties or family get togethers? never#they know my face#I cannot be bothered to wear makeup every day for work I'm in a lab#I wear jeans and a hoodie stained with paint#maybe if I'm going to a conference or meeting a customer but those are exhausting all day events and I touch my eyes and face too much

Love going to museums of medieval art as a Catholic. It means going Mother! hello Mother! hello Mother! :) every time I turn around or enter a new room.

"exercise will give you more energy" gets said a lot as a common piece of health advice but I think it needs to be expanded into "exercising will make you tired while you do it, and you will continue to be tired immediately afterwards, sometimes even the next day too, but over months of consistent exercise, your muscles will get stronger and therefore get less tired out by everyday activities, making you feel like day-to-day life takes less physical energy than it used to"

image how much better if everyone, adults, teens, younger kids, all got recess. like if everyone got 45 minutes to an hour to just play around outside, do fun things, be “childish” and things

This is a hard thing to hear but i genuinely say it with care and best wishes:
Keep using your brain and trying that hard thing no matter how foggy. Feel stupid! It's ok! I promise you are not stupid. I promise your brain will appreciate it. And that with time it will be valuable that you tried.
It's so easy to lose a whole week to brain fog. But your brain and body don't just stop existing that week (though it can feel that way). It's so important to try to incorporate puzzles anyway. Cook a meal from a scratch, do a jigsaw, the wordle, sudoku, use your other hand, learn a new card game, watch a brand new show, do simple math equations, write words backwards, learn a new language (or even just random phrases from a few), play a podcast, read a fun article or magazine, try a new creative project. Something! To help you feel better longer and keep your brains synapses synapsing.
Find a way to push yourself into it. Ask a friend to do it with you, set a timer, build it into your routine, have a bunch of fun games on your phone, puzzles by the bed, set your google to open straight to wordle.
TO CLARIFY: neuroplasticity is magic. And CONTRARY to prior belief it does not just stop after like 25. The brain can recover in exceptional ways so if you feel behind, or feel like you lost so much of what you knew due to a deep spell of illness or depression or injury; it's never too late. Never too late to nuture your brain to a better state of health.
So have a glass of water, take a deep breath and please join me in feeling really stupid trying to finish a "simple" puzzle and know we are all doing a very good job. ❤️

Being 22 is weird as fuck. Someone 5 years younger than me is effectively 3 sniffs old + just born. Someone 5 years older than me can have a PhD. I know someone my age who recently realised that by buying a bed they can sleep on something more comfortable than the floor but other people my age have kids. there are people younger than me becoming world-famous musicians and athletes. what the fuck is going on
