What’s your muse’s motto?

There’s actually two that she lives by “When you judge another, you do define them, you define yourself.” And “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”

The one thing she hates is people who judge someone by their reputation without getting to know them. She feels that everybody should be looked at with fresh eyes person to person, to talk and let their personalities be their own judges. Judging someone yourself just says your not an open person. Also to her life should be going out and experiencing everything and anything with her own eyes or ears. She doesn’t want one day to go to waste doing nothing.

It was her first trip to the madness kingdom. She really wanted to explore but her guards was extra protective today. That’s when the male advisor offered to show her around without the guards. Whatever he did to make that work she was overly grateful. The tour was interested to say the least. The kingdom was it’s own special brand of special that she would never forget. And her guide was someone fun to be around. As the day end and they returned to the castle she saw the guards waiting outside the front door. She stop the male before they got close. “Thank you for today. It was really fun.” she curtsied. Taking a few steps to her guards, she turned and gave the other a kiss on the cheek and then continued her journey to her babysitters.

The mirror to forget was a sacred object that helps change memories. Mina needed that mirror right away. She knew that the price was not regular pay by any mean but it was worth it. Anything to forget that prince from the knowledge kingdom. Every memory was painful. It didn’t matter that she heard that the mirror could drive her mad. The laughter, the smiles, the arguments everything must.That’s all she could think of as she stared straight into the mirror. Asking to forget the male she felt a weird sensation take over.When she snapped out of her daydream state, confusion filled her face as she looked in the mirror in front of her. Why she was there she didn’t know and racking her brain did nothing to recall anything. Shrugging she left the room to see where she actually was.

Our muses snuggling together in the dark.

Sharing a bed with Eirene was something that happened regularly during their sleepovers. Tonight was no different. It was late at night, passed midnight. The darkness was all she saw as she stared upwards towards where the ceiling is. Mina just couldn’t sleep.She tossed and turn unable to find a comfortable position. Sighing, she laid on her back once again. So many thing swirled in her mind. Emotions and worries made it impossible to relax. Honestly she just needed a hug.“Unnie, unnie, I can’t sleep.” Her voice gave away everything she was feeling at the moment, “I really need a hug.” The elder turned over and hugged her. She smiled closing her eyes enjoying the warmth and let sleep envelope her.

The ocean was big and vast and a place that Mina hasn’t gone often much to her displeasure.So being in a kingdom with an ocean was a joy. As soon as she shook off her guards, her first stop was to go for a dip. Clothes and all. She pushed forward and forward leaving everything behind. The waves she encountered got bigger and bigger.Dipping under for longer than the last time. Coughing more every time she was allowed air. Moving got harder to do. Her limbs got tired. As she dipped under once more, resurfacing didn’t happen this time.The next time she was seen on the surface was when her body washed up on shore. Only to be discovered by a raven haired prince that she never had the pleasure of meeting.

Our muses have to part ways – forever.

There she was standing in front of the person that had to leave forever. It was an royal order from the king and queen to never see her dear friend, it was one the girl would’ve ignored. But she was told that if she did not end this friendship they would make sure that he would never see her or anyone again. Mina cared to much for the other…no she loved the other too much to risk him getting physically hurt.

So her friend was invited over under the pretense of a friendly reunion. As he talked about his day Mina tuned him out in favor of memorizing his features and tucking it away with the memories she was saving. Finally she interrupted him, “Jungkook, let’s stop. This friendship was fun and childish but now is the time to grow up. Leave now and know you’ll never be allowed in this kingdom again. Goodbye.” With that she left letting her legs take her far away. Far enough so she could sob for her lost friendship, sob for him never knowing how much a great friend he was to her. For him never knowing truly how much he meant to her.

The mirror to rule the world to her is just a stupid object that divides every kingdom. And honestly she absolutely loathes even speaking of it. She hates the division it creates within the world she lives. Mina just wants to go kingdom to kingdom without feeling the tension in the air about this mirror.And if they’re was ever a time that she happened across the mirror it would give her no greater pleasure than to destroy the thing. But it’s not likely that will ever happen. So she just goes on with her day pretending the legend doesn’t exist and if it comes up as a topic she’s not afraid to share her disdain of said mirror.

Hm, what Mina’s biggest mistake isn’t something specific but a general thing that can happen with anyone and she does really regret it every time it happens. That being whenever she knows she could’ve done something to help a person but she just didn’t think of doing that specific thing at the time. And she does feel really guilty about that fact the of not doing everything in her power does really eat her up inside.

❝ that male was truly good at faking. i would tell you more, although, i wish for you not to show any sign of empathy or pity. all is in the past. why ask me about such a topic, though? have you found someone you love? ❞

It was a normal sleepover that they both done multiple time before. But this time the younger asked if the elder has ever been in love. It was a question that was said based on pure curiosity and one she believed to help them bond a little more than they already have. And what her unnie had said definitely got her wonder how much she doesn’t know.

“I’m ready to hear this story now. But not showing any emotions towards your past can’t be asked of me. I care far too much about you to not react to things that happen to you.” The girl cupped the other’s hand in hers. “But you need to know that whatever you say to me it will never change how I feel about you. You will always be my unnie that I look up to so much.”

Mina chuckled a bit and shook her head at the female’s question. “No, I haven’t found anyone I love.” The girl tilted her head thinking of something. “Well…I have a lot of people that I love, all my friends I consider family. Like you.” A small smile appeared as she said these words. “But, no young prince charming has come and swept my heart away yet….unfortunately.”

He remembers letting lanterns and balloons fly, roaming the sky and for fleeting moment he felt as if everything had been lifted from his shoulders. Mina had done the impossible. She had helped him through so much, and yet he was to be as so bold, as to disappear on her. And the last time they had met, was perhaps when he knew, his mother would no longer be there for him, as the lanterns floated overhead, Mina was there accompanying his desolate soul.

“Was it the lanterns?”

“Yeah…the lanterns.” Their last meeting was an emotional memory to say the least . Her heart hurt so much for her childhood friend when he came to her baring the news of his mother. Even though the other was the older and the one she always relied on she wanted to switch up their roles for him. That’s when she decided to help the other grief by buying balloons and lanterns for him to release for his mother.

She seemed to help a little that day. But the next day when she came back the next day he didn’t show. The girl figured he just needed time by himself. That was until he never came back. And she couldn’t help feel a little guilt that she didn’t quite did enough.

“Taec…I’m sorry if I didn’t do enough before to help.”

No, she wasn’t a miracle worker. But her mind couldn’t help but think of ways she could’ve help. Ways that things would’ve have ended up differently. Choices that made her dwell on the past and regret some of it.

Mina looked over at the one sitting next to her, he looked better off than she last saw him. “It looks like you did well for yourself though.”

Jungkook turned is attention now to the map in front him though, scanning across it quickly and taking a mental note of her words. “Damn, they don’t leave much room for getting around without guards, do they?” Well he should’ve been used to that fact. “What about here?” He pointed towards one of the blank corridors on the map, seemingly close by to where they were now. “Anything there or is that free to go, because it would be a long route, maybe need to be a bit sneaky at points, but it could lead out– and if there’s secret passages then all the better here.”

She scoffed at the guard question, “Nope they don’t. These guards are like damn cockroaches they’re everywhere all the time.” The castle felt more like a prison because of that fact. At times while she was out and about she considered not coming back, considered choosing her freedom over all this. But she had responsibilities to attend to that she would feel guilty about if she just up and left.

Besides, not everything about her life here was bad. Like all the connections she made over the years was due to her status and home. For example this moment right here, it wouldn’t of been possible if she had left. And honestly if she had to choose between times like this and total free reign over herself all the time, she would pick these moments in a heartbeat with no doubt in her mind.

Zoning back in to what the young male was suggesting they do she nodded along to his words. Keeping his route in mind Mina looked over all the possibilities they had in front of her. After calculating all the possible paths she came to the conclusion that Kookie’s choice was the best one. “Ok, yeah that looks like our best bet. Besides with this way, if we’re out in a hallway and we hear someone coming there’s plenty of big statues to hide behind if necessary. ”

Not everyone took kindly to a lion. In fact, the man living next door to her when she was growing up had even had the skin of a lion draped over their sofa. It had been a terrifying sight for the little girl with her wide eyes after the first time she had turned into her lion form. But, she had grown sturdier since that day, more capable of taking care of herself. And so, the young woman began to lower herself, head tucked down and muscles showing in all their glory. Teeth were fletched and she slowly stepped out from behind the cover before finding that it was merely a young woman sitting there. Immediately Jinah relaxed, and found her muscles relaxing, her head tilting to the side ever so slightly.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the lioness. Not from fear, but confusion this wasn’t normal lion territory. She was sure it wasn’t just haven’t seen them around, it was her jurisdiction to know the animals of her home. And she would’ve bet her life she was the only lion to set her paws on these grounds…until today.

Honestly the girl was glad to see the feline in front of her. It has been awhile since Mina’s last transformation, she missed being a lion. But now there was one was is in front of her and even though it wasn’t her, there was a form of joy in seeing one. Now she wanted to make sure that wherever the other came from it felt welcomed here.

Noticing that the stance of the female was not hostile the princess smiled. “Oh hello there. You’ve must of come from some distance huh girl?” Mina then proceeded to pat the ground the ground beside her. “Come, sit and relax you must be tired. Don’t worry I won’t hurt you I promise.”

His lips tug, and soft crescents rests on his features. They had first met on such differing platforms that it began to send chills down his spine. She was a princess of another kingdom and yet they somehow entwined their fate with one another in this very spot. A tree branching overhead, with infinite shades of brown. And this was where she had told him why she was here. His reasons were hidden for many visits until the unbearable events of duty and responsibility hit him at the old-age of eighteen. Hardly nothing it would seem, however, at that point he felt wrinkles surfacing and was so close to the precipice of desolation.

“How have things been, Princess?”

Her smile faded and hurt flashed in her eyes at his formality towards her. She didn’t want him to think of her as a princess, she had enough of that home. Here and with him she wanted to be just a girl, a friend. Not some sort of royalty. And it hurt her when he brought up her status.

But only for a second she let her hurt show before plastering a bigger smile than she had on before, “Please.” Her hand gestured to their surroundings. “Around here I’m just Mina. And I’ve been good. Just living life I supposed.“ Moving to the base of a tree, the girl slumped down onto the ground.

Picking up a leaf she spin it around as she waited for the other to join her before saying anything else. Once he did she turned towards him. "So how have you been?”

Mina wanted to mentally kick herself. She had so many questions to ask. Like, Where have you been? What happened to you? Why did you leave?

But all that came out was how was he. Good one Mina, real good.

she could sense that mere distances away was perhaps, one.. no two witches present and another.. no, that’s no witch, it was a girl.

a princess at that!

Mina thought tonight would be a wonderful time for a stroll. She didn’t even have to sneak away this time. The staff were far to busy doing something to pay her mind. As she walked along she couldn’t help but muse to herself how lucky she got this day.

Oh how wrong she was.

It had been a good fifteen minutes into her walk when she encountered someone else. Being the friendly girl she was she didn’t think twice in greeting and trying to interact with the other. As the lion got closer to the person, she realized it wasn’t a regular human. And whoever it was didn’t have good intentions either.

The princess ran as fast as she could to no avail. What she saw gave chase and it was faster than her. She felt something hit her back causing her to fall. Groaning the girl knew that she got up now she would still be a goner. She couldn’t outrun this, her only hope was someone coming to save her.
