Pauls WHOLE physicality is so crazy and made worse by the fact that Hamish is really tall for some reason but tall like a baby deer is tall so hes always in these folded up poses, kneeling, crawling, sitting open legged because the chair is really too short for him, arms wrapped around someone and hes also a prime example of the way that vampirism in this story is about a desparation that makes you utterly pathetic instead of powerful or dignified.
