✿‧̥ do what makes you happy ! tumblr is supposed to be a place that we can all find escape in. that means doing the things that you love the most. don't feel guilty about having muse for only certain threads. it's okay to focus on them. the people that matter and are important will understand. it's your space and you are allowed to do what you want with the time that you have. no one else can control or dictate you on that. so , enjoy what you write when you can ! there is no time limit on what you reply to , because this is all a hobby. so please remember , don't put too much pressure on doing something that's supposed to be an escape.

✿‧̥ please interact with your mutuals ! this isn't to say always be writing or feel rushed in responses. but it's the little things that can make someone's day. if you see a meme on the dash , take a quick second to send it over. if you happen to see someone's post about something like headcanons or something they're celebrating ooc, take just the smallest second to like it. the rpc runs on us interacting with each other , it's so important. so don't be afraid to reach out there and interact with your mutuals.

✿‧̥ write that thing ! sometimes it's really easy for us to question ourselves as writers , but i promise your writing is beautiful. some days it's hard , but believe in yourself. you are talented , you are creative and you are wonderful. if you're feeling a disconnect , it's okay to take a step back and breathe. remember to take care of yourselves and know it's okay to do so. you are a wonderful person and never let anyone dull that sparkle of yours ! you are wanted and loved in this space.

✿‧̥ follow your own happiness ! don't let anyone else decide what is allowed to make you happy. at the end of the day , it's your blog ! write / respond to things that you feel the most muse with. want to make a new blog even though you owe things on another? go for it ! if you're only feeling threads for a certain writing partner? that's totally okay ! this is your space , your time , and your energy. you're allowed to put into it what you want.

i said this on a blog a long time ago, but please consider this:

if you don't know someone's character or the media they're from... treat them like an OC. ask questions, read bios, read headcanons, engage in their posts. don't look at a character and go "nah, can't be bothered because i don't know who that is". try. give it a chance. some of the best dynamics come from people mixing media and characters you may have never knew would work before. not to mention-- you may wind up learning about the media in the end. it may turn into something you WANT to know. but even if you never wanna watch, read, play a game, or whatever.... it doesn't mean you can't have fun with someone's character. JUST BE CURIOUS.

✿‧̥ it's okay to take time with things you owe ! no one is allowed to dictate the way you spend your time here. don't stress about the fact that it might take you a while to get to things you owe. it's important to focus on what's best for you and not forcing yourself to enjoy something that's a hobby.

✿‧̥ remember that roleplay is a hobby not a job ! you shouldn't hold yourself to any obligation with roleplay as a hobby. be here when you can , not when you force yourself to be. it's okay to not have muse, it's okay to just want to yap on your blog. you're not a robot , you can't turn out replies all the time. burn out is real and it's okay to take care of yourself when you have it. never let anyone pressure you into being here, including yourself.

✿‧̥ this time of year is hard, remember to take care of yourself ! the holiday season is coming up fast and it can be a hard time for so many of us for so many different reasons. remember to treat yourself with extra kindness this time of year. even on the days that you don't feel like it , you're doing more than enough just by existing.

✿‧̥ you are so worthy. don't let anyone diminish your worth or take it away from you. you deserve people in your life that see you for the amazing and wonderful person that you are. you are allowed to remove people from your life. you are allowed to stand up for yourself. it's okay to put yourself first, it's okay to take care of yourself. never let anyone make you feel bad for doing otherwise. you are allowed to set boundaries , you are allowed to say no.

✿‧̥ your original character is important ! so much love and effort goes into crafting a character of your own creation. original characters are just as important as canon characters , don't let anyone convince you other wise. your original characters bring so much value and are wanted and loved here. please never stop writing them, never stop talking about them. don't let anyone discourage you from having an original character. thank you for sharing your character with us, thank you for allowing us to interact and write with them !

If we want to identify the root of the problem, we need to start by looking inward. It’s undeniable that attractive male characters, especially white ones, often gain instant popularity and follows.

this isn’t just a systemic issue—it begins with us.

Even as female writers, we must confront and challenge the internalized misogyny that influences how we view and create female characters. From my personal experience this year, it’s clear that sexism remains pervasive in the community. It’s an environment that often feels hostile toward women, especially women of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other marginalized groups.

When I say that I love and see your female muses, I mean it. There are people out there, myself included, who genuinely want to build positive and meaningful connections that uplift women rather than fetishize or diminish them.

We crave stories and relationships—platonic and romantic alike—that value women as fully realized, multidimensional characters.

And yes, we exist. If you’re someone who believes in fostering these kinds of connections and challenging the biases in our community, I encourage you to reblog this and help amplify this message. Change starts with us.
