💢A plea to everyone who sees my post 💢
I am Alaa Al-Hanjouri, 32 years old. I used to work as a teacher, educating children and carrying their dreams on my shoulders...😥😥

but the Gaza war left us with everything. My home was destroyed, my dreams shattered, and my family of six became homeless refugees, searching for a life amidst the rubble.😭💔💔

What saddens me most now is my daughter, Souad... a child no older than six years old, suffering from severe anemia. Her body is emaciated, her eyes are sunken, she sleeps crying from the pain, and she wakes up weaker than the day before. We cannot afford treatment, not even the food that would help her fight the disease.💔💔

I am helpless, and that is what exhausts me the most. Seeing your child wither before your eyes and your inability to save him. All I ask of you is your help... for Souad, and for every father like me who has lost the ability to protect their children.
Your donation is the only hope in this agony. Please, do not let my family die. Please help us. Thank you very much.

Forbidden Plants Of Palestine tatreez motifs
Shereen Quttaineh: 'For countless generations, Palestinians foraged and harvested the fruits of their land, from wild plants like tumble thistle (Akkoub), medicinal thyme (Za’atar), and wild sage (Meramieh) to cultivated staples like olives, oranges, and watermelons.
Like all other facets of their lives, their autonomy over their own food is under occupation. In addition to confiscating farmlands and uprooting centuries-old fruit trees, the occupation imposes oppressive laws forbidding Palestinians from picking and growing the plants that comprise their culinary, medicinal, and cultural traditions. Despite this, Palestinians continue to find ways to resist.
Each tatreez motif documents a “Forbidden Plant of Palestine,” carrying a story of connection and resilience, offering a reminder of the enduring bond between the people and the land that nurtures them.
Palestinian women have long documented their stories and surroundings through embroidery, preserving history and identity in every stitch. Through creating my own motifs for the plants that Palestinians are restricted from accessing on their own land, I am continuing this tradition—using thread as a form of resistance. This project is my way of documenting apartheid, reclaiming narratives, and strengthening my connection to my roots and identity. Each tatreez motif is a testimony of endurance, belonging, and the fight to keep our heritage alive.
I created these motifs to be used for non-commercial purposes. The Palestinian cause is not for sale and should not be exploited for profit. If you wish to share or use these motifs, proper credit is required.
If you would like the pdf booklet for the designs dm me.'

If you took the time to respond to the poll, please consider reading Nader's story and circulating or donating to his fundraiser here. Anything helps! Their family is currently trying to raise funds for food, housing, and the incredibly high cost of escaping Gaza once the border opens again. He's been vetted by gazavetters at #4 on their list. Thank you so much for reading.

In line with famed Black Panther Assata Shakur, I've always stood on the answer being "yes", but the past two years of witnessing Palestinians suffer while being told that they have to be perfect victims has only emphasized it to me even more so. I can't stomach it toward my own Black community, so I can only fathom how sick weak sentiments as "civility and nonviolence" in the face of an active genocide must make the victims of it feel inside.
Nonetheless, Gazans like Mohammed ( @yazanfamilly ) and his family persevere. And you can help them do that, with a donation, or at least a share 🙏🏾

Hey y'all -- I'm making this post on behalf of Sami and his family, who are currently suffering from hunger in Gaza. Their fundraiser is currently at 87%. In a world where food is so abundant it's truly terrible for some people to go without. Even by donating something small, you can help someone in buying a bag of flour to make bread for their children.
If you can't donate please circulate Sami's fundraiser -- anything helps! Thank you so, so much for even reading. FUNDRAISER.

If you took the time to respond to this, you can spare a moment to read and donate to my friend Zeina @zinaanqar16 . Her situation in Gaza is very precarious, as the IOF has begun occupying the entire city and displacing her and her family, with very little media coverage, while they already suffer from bombings and famine. Please, please donate so they can survive, and so that if they are forced to evacuate, they might have the funds to escape when the border opens. Donate to her Vetted by Gazavetters fundraiser List (No. 213), for the love of humanity.

So close to reach her goal soon, €8,278 left, Please donate whatever you can

Save what’s left of us, we are dying
Israel continues its crimes in Gaza, targeting journalists, civil defense teams, and innocent civilians. Today, Nasser Medical Complex was directly bombed, killing four journalists, members of the civil defense, and civilians who were inside the hospital.
The entire world remains silent in the face of these atrocities. How long will this brutality continue? When will Israel stop targeting civilians? When will the world rise against this injustice?

People of the world, we are dying of hunger, under bombardment, and in despair—while you remain silent. Stand with us, be our voice… you are our last hope.
