it’s mid-autumn festival tomorrow! i’m not entirely sure what to do for it, but i’ll spend the whole day being active with chang’e since she’s a vital part of the celebrations.

no more liveblogging the empress of china here anymore it seems. the website i used for watching it was pulled down and i can only find the heavily cut versions online. i might end up buying the dvds though at some point, but for now this is the end of my liveblogging about wu.

I’m rereading Kalevala after ages and after that i need to hunt down a fc but expect to see Louhi here at some point! Louhi is a queen of the land known as Pohjola (‘Northland’) in the Finnish and Karelian mythologies. She is the hostess of the underworld with the ability to change shape and weave mighty enchantments. She is the alter-ego of the goddess of death and disease, Loviatar.

“So those are the thoughts that have been filling your head lately, Master.” It was not at all that surprising to hear of it, considering how the girl’s life had been. She could understand the desire to feel the warmth of a person, but had not pitied the girl when hearing her story. Life was filled with tragedies after all, she had gone through a fair share of her own even, which is perhaps why Wu had felt a strong pull to the Magus. 

“You are correct in that one. The warmth that humans share is quite different from a fire’s, but not at all better than the brutal flames, often more traitorous leaving scars even worse than the heat of a fire. Humans are traitorous beings after all as you have come to learn.” It was something she had learned the hard way around when ruling China. In the end it had all come down on her, leaving her loved ones dead and herself removed from the throne. Perhaps she was not the best person to confront about this matter, or to console her Master on the desire to feel the human touch. There was a touch of a hand she still yearned after all this time. 

“We ruled a country on our own, without anyone to trust. That is how we learned of the viciousness of humanity.” Shaking her head, she moved on from it. Stray thoughts from times long past was not what hear Master yearned to know. “Would you wish for humanity from the Grail, Master? To learn of all the things the people know? Despite all, we will help you if that is what you seek.” If anything she would protect the girl. Those who sought to harm Cardia would come to know the wrath of the Empress Consort. 

Still she was curious. Despite all she had learned of her Master, she wanted to know what her true wish was for the Grail, for the life surrounding them. 

“Tell us, Master. What is it your heart truly yearns for?”

I updated Chang’e’s bio a bit! I forgot to include in why Zhu Bajie is her natural enemy.

Chang'e has great dislike towards Zhu Bajie, and reported him to the Jade Emperor after his drunken attempt to seduce her at a party organized for all the significant figures in Heaven . As a result Zhu Bajie was banished to earth in a pig-like form and Chang'e grew to distrust those in military power.

TERRIBLE MISTAKES WERE MADE.

A woman who forces a man to run off with her on her wedding day; a queen who has such contradictory actions she may as well have been three different people; a man who did not wait long enough to check and see if his beloved was dead or not–

Obviously a lot of mistakes were made, especially me for making this blog, but honestly who doesn’t love Fate OCs known for making HUGE mistakes in their canon stories/histories, eh? Majorly headcanon based as far as their portrayals are concern, if you’re interested in this odd mix of multimuse blog, please gimme a like or reblog!

mid autumn festival is coming soon. it’s early october. offerings are usually made for chang’e since worshipping the moon is an important part of celebrations. i need to do something regarding chang’e then since she’s a vital part of the festival even now.
