few days to go and ill be back, but on my new account !! ✨ i'll be transfering drafts by making new posts since i'll be using beta.

okay guys !! i'll be on a hiatus until december 20th due to school things and i can't be around much bc of all my homeworks, exams coming up !! i will be easier to join on discord for the time being !! i also have a few things left in my queue but it will probably run out by the end of the week since i didn't have time. i know i'm taking a while so feel free to please let me know if you feel like dropping things and what not, as i would totally understand.

𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒 (𝐏𝐓. 𝟏)

so, i absolutely love cooking! it's a passion of mine, i've been cooking for my family for years, people seem to find my food edible enough, and i recently found myself unable to cook at all for about a week, resulting in this little list coming into existence! i'm most likely going to make more of these, simply because the dynamics in a kitchen are varied as hell, right? we have romantic couples who cook together as a hobby, there's professional restaurant kitchen settings, baking oriented stuff, cooking with kids, there's a LOT to be done w the topic! so these are more for the chaos of someone who cannot boil an egg to save their life, vs. someone who enjoys cooking and is widely considered to be a dab hand at it! DO NOT ADD TO THIS LIST! but i do hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed making it!

" hey, hey, it's okay! we'll scrape off the burnt bits! "

" here, let me chop the onions, okay? you can dice the peppers and beef; just be sure to do them on separate boards, yeah? "

" you... you know the wine was for the stew, don't you?! "

" i swear to you, i don't know how this happened. i followed every single instruction, word for word! "

" taste this and tell me what you think! "

" oh my god... this is AMAZING! you should have your own cooking show! "

" you're kidding me! no way this whole thing is vegan! it's just too good! "

" so, um... i might have possibly accidentally tipped the entire jar of cayenne pepper into the soup... and by might have, i mean definitely. "

" i think i'm gonna have to ask you to leave the kitchen before you hurt somebody. "

" it says here to fold in the eggs... now, tell me, how exactly does one do that? "

" i might have over-exaggerated my cooking skills... and blown up the oven. "

" look, it sounds gross, but i'm telling you, when it's cooked right, it's the best thing ever! "

" i lied to my date and now they think i'm this amazing cook when i'm absolutely not, so please, can you spare me the lecture and just teach me how to cook? "

" so, um... how exactly did it manage to stay frozen solid on the inside, but scorch to a crisp on the outside? "

" okay, remember when it asked for fifty grams of sugar? yeah. i accidentally used salt. "

" well, at least we know the smoke alarms work, right? "

" i ruined three knives, i have a roast chicken embedded in my ceiling, my oven officially needs therapy, and so do i! wanna call it quits and order a pizza? "

" i swear, you're one of those kitchen gods who can make ice cubes taste fantastic! "

" this is the fun part! take that tenderiser, and beat the absolute crap out of that pile of steaks. "

" i'm trying so hard not to judge you right now, but... onion goggles?! "

" how on earth did you get pasta sauce on the ceiling? "

" you know every single firefighter in town knows my name? and my top three favorite comfort foods to bring each time i trigger the fire alarm? yeah. that's my culinary reputation. "

" hey. it's okay. this isn't the first time i've burnt dinner. i have taco bell on speed dial. "

" sometimes recipes just don't work out. and that's okay! what matters is that you tried. "

" i didn't realize it was even possible to burn water! "

" ah... i see where you went wrong. the recipe uses paprika. this is chilli powder. "

" quit eating the batter, or we'll have no cupcakes at all! "

" no! no way. i'm not tasting anything cooked by you; not since your orange juice gave me food poisoning. "

" the last time i tried to cook, my pot roast ended up on fire and put a hole in my dry wall. i had to hang paintings over it until i could refill the crater. "

" no, you cannot cook chicken medium-rare. wanna know why? because that means it's raw. and you'll end up with food poisoning. and i'll have to tell you what a moron you were to even think that was an acceptable thing to do in the first place. "

" i thought you teaching me how to cook would be all soft and friendly, like the great british bake-off! but it's more like hell's kitchen. "

" no tears in my kitchen, thank you! "

" six fires in three hours is your personal best! only problem is, we're making fruit salad... "

" i understand that it's meant to be salted caramel, but... exactly how much salt did you use?! "

             The sergeant knew his squad. Each personality and each tendency.  They were difficult for others to work with if nothing than due to their outward appearances. Many of the regs couldn’t see them as anything more than freaks or lab experiments. Regardless, they normally kept to themselves… Their Sniper’s intentions were always to defend his brothers. But he knew they would run into issues if he was ignored repetitively. “All due respect, sir. We’re in different boats. Where you have a large battalion, I have a small squad. We don’t leave our own behind. For any reason. Rescue missions are unwarranted due to it. We deal with it in the moment, not any other time.” There was a reason for their success rate. Part of that was never losing a squadmate. Battalions were prone to losses due to their large numbers, having so many men that they could possibly lose track of who all they needed to bring back. Which was what resulted in deaths or m.i.a’s. A small four man squad was easier to take care of than a large billion man unit for missions. It wasn’t something to say the generals couldn’t manage; it just made it harder with more an more men.

             The Sergeant listened with full attention, but he knew that there would be a struggle ahead of them to make sure that the mission was a success. No missions were without their hang ups. He doubted this job would be any less a struggle. “We won’t let someone walk into a trap they can’t get out of. The boys and I will tag along.” He knew there was a bad feeling about this mission but they would get through it all together. The Captains full intent on going into this mission at all made him on edge. It spelled out trap in bold, bloodied lettering and yet he knew that it was going to be more. There were too many elements to base on planning fully ahead. “This time, we go in the Havoc Marauder. Less chances of being shot out of the sky with Tech at the helm.” He knew they would need to make sure they got buckled in all the same, but… There would need to be a ship fast enough to get them in and out without too big a fuss.

While fair, these words did sting and Anakin had to remind himself that these men were there to help -- That Commander Cody was the one who vouched for them, saying that they would definitely get the job done. While he had no doubts in their abilities, he sure wasn't fond of their behaviors, nor words. He figured he didn't like it because, well, they were not really wrong. Then again, it's not like any of them wanted to leave Echo behind, everything happened quickly and when they saw his helmet following the explosion ... Well, none of them looked further. ( Now, knowing what he did ... Well, he definitely regretted it. ) Sighing, Anakin did force himself to stay grounded, and he felt like his captain was doing the same, yet remaining silent. For now. " Leaving people behind isn't in our habits either, whether battalion is big ... Or small. " And well, he was aware of how it looked now because if they were more like them ... They wouldn't be out here, about to go on a mission to retrieve one of their own. Now, he could only wish that Fives could have been there too. He needed to make it right. For all of them. And he will. " We will get him back home. " And hopefully, since this was earlier than ... Well, hopefully, he wouldn't be in such a bad shape.

While the idea of being in a ship that he wouldn't be piloting wasn't what he liked best, the man knew better than to argue. If they wanted this mission to be successful, with all of them remaining alive the entire time, there were some compromises that needed to be made and well letting someone else pilote, no matter how good, was something he was struggling with but he simply nodded. He knew he was one of the star pilot in the galaxy, yet was also aware of how dangerous some of his maneuver could be and figured that yeah, maybe this was for the best. Sharing a glance with Rex, Anakin finally nodded. " Alright, we will do as you say. " And hopefully, that was not something he would end up regretting.

Such words brought a smile to the woman's lips, curving the corners upwards and she reached towards her husband so that she could cup his face in between both hands, pulling him close and then pressed her lips against his.

Pulling away after some time, Padme looked up into his eyes. " I could say the same for you, Rush. " She whispered, honesty dripping from each words as she meant every words. It was unexpected, at first, but definitely not something she could ever regret.
