i know evan and barty are heavily popularised as being freaky and crude or whatever, but can i introduce you to shy insecure rosekiller who don't really know who they are or how to be confident about themselves?

just... them talking late at night, about the perils of life and philosophical connotations of existence, with the curtains drawn around evan's bed. barty poking his head out to inform regulus that they definitely weren't shagging, and he was welcome to join them in discussing. just to clear his conscience of any implications regulus may or may not have made.

and what if they don't even snog until three weeks after revealing their feelings? what then? you gonna fight me? because they're young, and they're babies, and best friends at the very least. they're insecure about the change.

and from a fic perspective, they feel so much more real when not everything about them is sexual. there's nothing wrong with that side of rosekiller!! don't get me wrong. i would die for any variation of them. i just think that this is such an unexplored concept that could be so great. them constantly assuring regulus nothing malevolent is happening behind the bed curtains is so dear to me.
