Finally! I have finished the reference for both of my Twst ocs and I wanted to share them.

Now I present my other Oc, his name is Lui Barbeu, a twisted Chef Luis, surprised I haven't seen any (If someone has a version I'll love to know.) More info about him under the cut. :3

This is how we'd meet him in the game's story:

Once everyone who made a deal with Azul is forced to work for him, we meet Lui.

He tried to sneak back into the Monstro Lounge to work again, but gets caught after both Jack and the protagonist cause a commotion. So the three of us get kicked out.

He explains that now that the Lounge has unpaid workers, there’s no need for regular staff. Most dorm members are fine with it. Some aren’t, but they won’t do anything.

Lui, however, refuses to give up. He needs to work at the Lounge, it’s part of his training.

As the book goes on, he helps us gather info from inside the Lounge, and tells Azul that he has to be working in the kitchen, for some very interesting and beneficial reason Azul accepts.

When we make the deal with Azul, Lui helps us get the photo the first time. But when we’re setting the plan with Savanaclaw, he stays behind, setting the stage so Leona and Ruggie can reach Azul’s office and steal the contracts.

Azul’s Overblot happens as normal, just with Lui’s extra help during the fight.

Now for some extra info about him:

He’s actually half-merperson. Since Chef Luis has so little lore, I added elements from other characters (like Melody from the sequel, because I can… Idk).

His dad is a well-known chef and food critic. Since he’s a merperson, he runs a restaurant on land that serves common underwater foods

His relationship with the Octovanille trio is very professional, he respects Azul for his calm and organized demeanor (funny considering what happens in book 3) but the funny interactions are with Floyd... Because someone has to go find the Lounge’s head chef when he gets bored mid-rush-hour. And that someone is Lui, his poor sous-chef. You can imagine how that goes for little "mudskipper" here.

Unique magic fact: to explain it, his magic lets him change the temperature of anything to what he needs, he can boil or freeze water in seconds (no matter the amount, imagine a whole pool turning into an ice rink instantly). But for complex effects or specific temperatures, he needs to really focus. That’s why he needs to be good at learning recipes.

Personality-wise:

Lui is naturally servicial, one of the few characters whose cosmic magic is light instead of dark (like Kalim, Rook, and Silver).

He’s pretty stiff when it comes to "creatively solving problems" and gets tunnel vision when he’s focused. If he gets too stressed, he starts making mistakes, which makes him panic and get angry. (He’s working on it, he swears. That’s why he picked up singing while cooking, as a calming mechanism.)

He doesn’t actually know much about his merfolk side, so when he visits the museum after Book 3, he’s incredibly excited, even turning into his merform (a barbed fish). He promises to learn more about what’s in the ocean and hopes to one day see Azul’s octoform.

In summary, one of the few good guys in NRC, for a character with so few apparitions in the movie I tried my best...

Finally! I have finished the reference for both of my Twst ocs and I wanted to share them.

First is Ifran Risha, he is my version of a twisted Iago. More info about him under the cut. :3

I'll start presenting him the way we'd meet him in the game story:

When the events of Book 4 take place, we learn Jamil has someone helping him manage the dorm while Kalim "acts out", that’s Ifran. But in reality, Ifran is there to plant seeds of doubt in Scarabia, even staging fake conversations for others to overhear using his unique magic.

His goal? To become Scarabia's vice dorm leader alongside Jamil, and maybe even dorm leader one day, either by earning Jamil’s trust or... other means.

As Jamil’s overblot happens, Ifran gets betrayed (of course) and either ends up being puppeted by Jamil’s magic or trapped in a sand clock (idk). So, we have to rescue him, and he ends up fighting alongside us against Jamil.

Now for some extra info about him:

He’s actually an orphan. No one knows what happened to his dad, and his mom died from an illness, so a "street rat" like Aladdin.

When he got his NRC letter, he thought it was a mistake. He lied about his background to “fit in” (because I headcanon that the outside view of NRC is that it’s some elite rich kid school, which isn’t true, but can you blame people for thinking that?).

His relationship with the Scarabia duo is complicated (not as complex as Jamil and Kalim’s, but I love relationships with layers).

He respects Jamil for his intelligence and patience, but after the OB? He doesn't trust him anymore, even if Jamil means well or anything, he might follow him, but always questioning his motives.

At first, he didn’t like Kalim (because rich boy, ew), but after everything that happened (and after Ifran’s lies were exposed) Kalim still forgave both of them and even helped Ifran out. So now Ifran tries to make things right with him. (Partially.)

Unique magic fact: He can mimic people’s voices perfectly without his UM. Using his UM makes the voice mimicry sound super credible, even saying things the original person normally would or no to out of character.

Personality-wise:

Ifran is very intelligent, strategic, and calculating. His biggest issue? Laziness. He’d rather figure out a way not to do something than just do it, and when he has to do something, he won’t shut up about how much he hates it.

He does enjoy a few things, like making jewelry (to look richer or to sell it, he says), and parkour/acrobatics, which is why he’s in the athletics club.

Another flaw he has is his compulsive lying. It’s mostly a defense mechanism, to avoid seeming out of place or getting out of trouble. He’s so good at it he even lies to himself. Like saying he doesn’t care about others or doesn’t want to help in Book 5, he even says that to people’s faces, but ends up helping anyway. Begrudgingly. Complaining the whole time. But still doing it. (A little nod to the second and third Aladdin movies… don’t watch them, you don’t need to...)

In summary! he is a fun guy to cause mischief with, he is a good guy, but not too good, hope you like him. 🦜💙❤️

What's one OC lore tidbit you've always wanted to share, but nobody ever asked about it?

Definitely how I built onto my characters and how they evolved! Not even lying here, one of my OCs entirely came from one song that played in my headphones while on a trip to get a couple shots (aka, "ANTIHUMAN" by ivycomb. Please give it a listen!). Now? He's one of the most important parts of the lore for my boy, Icarus (the little Owlboy OC that I post about occasionally). I love talking about where and how my little fellas evolved to become what they are today, but no one ever really asks that part.

Hewo! It's been a bit, isn´t it? Well im kind of back but not really because well...collague stuff an what not lmao but!!! In my doodle sidetracks i did a silly billy drawing of a PVZ plant [music inspiration brrr] then i remember when i drew this idea the first time [i lost the drawing tho] and what thing went to another sooo🤨... TADA!! Made entirely in MSPAINT because im fucking nuts.

Basically challenged myself to work with my old tools YET with new knowledge and new ways [while I still did it in paint im not going to do it with a mouse or a mousetrack nah hell no.] to show in a way the younger version of me that we are doing it!💜✨ PLUS!
