Maki stepped away for a second, her hands shuffling through the multitude of folders at her desk as she let out an exhale, "Well, I suppose you can take those emotions with you." Her voice sounded nonchalant, cold even. 

"Just don't forget, your time with your partner is almost up."

Seeing her respond in such a bitter way brought quite a shock to Maki. The woman was not used to seeing Sora react in such an angered state. She sighed, expression softening as she gently placed the cup of water on the desk.      – > The woman sat down onto the couch,

       “ Sometimes it’s best if we learn to control our emotions,          and learn to react to the world passively. No          matter what situation arises. “

    She spoke– in a softer tone.

Sora watched the ice float around in her drink as Maki spoke. Her reflection in the glass was distorted. She could only make out the colors of her hair, her skin. The ice clanked against the cup until it settled. Sora, on the other hand, was growing increasingly tired of Maki’s poignant words. She twisted her head to look at her, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.

        “Our emotions are what allowed our partners to digivolve in the first place.” Sora grew quiet at the end, like she was speaking more to herself than the woman across the room.

Distant Memories

Her eyes gazed into the distant sky. Looking at the clouds, a slight sigh came across her face. Maki couldn't wait any longer until the day she gets to see Tapirmon again. 

She glanced quickly at her notes again, hoping to locate some information on the latest location of the 02 children. Suddenly, there was a slight sound behind her, who could it be? @googuruboi​
