My friend lost his Dad back in June, and since I've lost someone who was a Dad to me, we've been chatting a lot and I just made him cry.

Not sad tears, no, but tears of laughter.

We were talking about how in those first few weeks the question of "how are you?" can be overwhelming and irritating and it went like this.

Him: how am I? Still Dad-less thanks!

Me, no hesitation: That's my default state honestly. Welcome to the club

kjsfas I absolutely love this idea thank you for sending it to me! I am doing prompts (slowly) but honestly cannot think of how to write this one right now. The words just aren't flowing but I have thoughts 👀

So there are two thoughts for this.....

Option 1:

Lando is the one that accidentally sends the pic. Lando has been working with Daniel for a while, been with the company since he was an intern and worked his way up a bit, and he's had a massive crush on Daniel for months.

It doesn't help that Daniel is so charming and funny, and treats everyone with respect and is just a great guy. They've hung out at team things, their vibes match, and Lando has the worst friends who encourage him to do dumb things like drunkening flirt with his boss.

Lando is mortified when he is sober and realises what he has done. He calls in sick for a few days, reems out his friends, before he decides to face the music and risk getting fired. He spends the whole first day back waiting for HR to appear and escort him out but instead he gets asked by Daniel, via email to stay back and meet with him.

To say that Lando is surprised when Daniel isn't firing him, but admits he too likes Lando and hoped it wasn't an accident, is an understatement.

Option 2:

Lando being the boss because he runs a company like Quadrant.

Daniel works in one of the departments that doesn't directly involve Lando, but Lando is still kind of his boss since he is the head and founder of the company.

Lando and Daniel meet at a work thing and hit it off. Daniel knows Lando is the boss, but it doesn't stop him from flirting with Lando to see the way he blushes and to hear him laugh.

Maybe they've been flirting and verging on something for a while, and drunk Daniel goes "fuck it".

He doesn't think he'll regret it until the next time he sees Lando and Lando goes scarlet and hurries off in the opposite direction. He 100% think's he's being fired when someone tells him Lando wants to see him, and he has a whole speech prepared which he gives, only to watch Lando's face fall a little before his brain catches up and Daniel is going "fuck he does like me, here's my chance"
