As I mentioned earlier, this is NOT the end of me writing and trying to influence lives in a meaningful way. It’s starting a new journey that I truly believe in and where I feel I can make a difference in someone’s life. - I have always been into health and fitness. This year I took this passion seriously and went on with my certifications in both fitness and nutrition. The main reason of doing this was not to go for a career change and become a full time fitness trainer. The reason was to help other women change and transform their lives just like I did after having babies and struggling with weight gain. - When I started my weight-loss and fitness journey, many women and especially mothers started asking me what diet plans I was following and what exercise I was doing. It’s time to say the official Goodbye! 👋 - Goodbyes are hard for me so I took my time to be 100% sure and strong enough to close this account for blogging. Hey, I’m not shutting down my account, I just won’t be blogging over here anymore. - I realized I do not want to influence anyone looking for food, makeup, lifestyle and fashion advise because I don’t like being on Insta who I am not in real life. The truth is I am not a fashionista, I’m not a pro at makeup and I definitely can’t call myself a lifestyle guru. I give parenting advise when asked to and while I love to eat, I cannot call myself a foodie. If you know me, you know that 80% of the times I am found in my PJs. I prefer comfort clothing over fashion statements. I dress up and do makeup maybe 15-20 times in a year. My parenting style is a mix of desi and modern but I don’t preach it online. Given all that, I feel unreal when I post pictures of products or myself looking all flawless or do reviews of food places just because I got myself a collaboration and part of the deal was to post about it. I don’t feel right influencing people with posts or advise that I don’t do or follow in real life. I love to write but I want to write about stuff that I believe in and that truly reflects me as a person. I want to influence lives in an area where I feel I am capable of making a difference given my experience and knowledge. Something that’s real and meaningful for people who follow my page. - I was getting tired of sticking to a themed grid. Making sure every picture was Insta-worthy, running to multiple events in a day, doing unnecessary collaborations because that’s what bloggers need to do to grow. Raise your hands if you know who Hurem Sultan was? No? Remember that Turkish drama fever that hit the whole world about 5 or so years ago? Everyone was watching it from Pakistan, USA to UAE and some people were super obsessed with it. Heck my sister even named her son Mustafa watching that drama. 🤣🤣🤣 #pregnancyhormones - Anyhow, while roaming on the roads of Sultanahmet Square, we saw this Hamam that was named after Hurem Sultan. Now I ain’t a history buff but I remembered that drama and I went googling right away. 🧐 - This is what I found - The Haseki Hürrem Sultan Hamamı, is a sixteenth-century Turkish bath in Istanbul. It was commissioned by Hürrem Sultan, consort and legal wife of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. So she was a real person and not a fictional character?! #knowledgegained 😱 - Don’t know about you guys but I found it very interesting.
