EDUCATE-ALL FOUNDATION:  The Future , We dream

EducateAll Foundation!
How did this project come about?
Do you care to know? Oh yes relax, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the origin of this great foundation as it enfolds.
The HNG 6th cycle pre-internship started on 19th August, 2019. It promised to be a three-week program and strictly to be done remotely. It is on record that about 7,156 interns applied. Slack workspace  was one of the tools that made this program worth while.
As soon as the internship kicked off, interns were given tasks to complete and submit after two days of publishing. Individually, they were promoted to task 3 after completion of task1 and task2.
On that memorable day, xyluz (Seyi O.) published task 3 and stated instructions to accomplish the “final project” as he stressed. Before then, about 11 teams were created and we were instructed to join any team of our choice. Each team contained about 100 interns. The teams were: team Tokyo, Rio, Nairo, Delihi, Moscow, Start etc.
Team Tokyo elected their team leader in the person of Fabian Uzukwu and his deputies, Ego Ugwu, Lilian Anigbogu,Anuoluwapo Anwo, Muideen Muritala and Ikechukwu Infokid. These team leads were selected to see to the smooth running and accomplishment of both group and individual tasks with the collaboration of every member. The team leads accepted the challenge and put in all their best.
What was this all about? The task was to build a website for an NGO which will contain several pages such as Home, About Us, Donation/Payment and Contact. Sub-groups were created in line with the phases of the website development and they were: UI/UX Designers, Frontend, Backend, Project Management, Digital Marketing and Others.
All the team members joined the sub-groups as per their field of interest. Everyone contributed  in one way or another. Thumbs up to team Tokyo, we are the best!
Through collaboration and teamwork, the sub-teams worked tirelessly and harmoniously towards the success of the project. Digital Marketers coined the company’s name and its associated contents, UI/UX Designers came up with logo and UI designs, Frontend coded the designs, Backend supported the Frontend during the coding phase, of course project managers ensured that the sub-groups' deliverables were timely and on point and finally Team-Others assisted everywhere their help was needed most.
Believe me, working remotely with a huge number of persons was a very tedious task, but team leads of Team-Tokyo faced the challenge and didn't give up until they conquered. Rather, the experience shaped us all, made us stronger and better.
After all said and done, our code was tested and behold, it worked as expected. WOW! Imagine the feeling we all had; not only did we meet the deadline, we were among the groups that scored highest, 18/20. We all felt like partying and popping champagne.
Never underestimate the power of teamwork. Special thanks goes to Johnson Ubaezuonu and many others that took the extra mile towards the birth of Team-Tokyo's Project - EducateAll Foundation Nigeria.
EducateAll Foundation Nigeria ® is a non-profit charitable organization, founded in 2019 to support vulnerable children in need, especially those facing difficult socio-economic challenges in Nigeria.

We use this medium to say thank you to StartNG, Flutterwave, and Imo State government that gave talented Nigerians the opportunity to assemble as a team and come up with this life project. The lessons learnt will forever be used to create solutions to Nigerian problems and Africa at large.
