Dear Jane,

I know that we just met, but I wanted to write this letter to you. When your mother told me that I’m your dad. I’m not going to lie, it freaked me out a bit. The reason it freaked me out a bit, is because I was scared, I was going to be like my dad and be the most, terrible father and well, I made a promise to myself that I’m going to be the best dad to you, promise. Sure, I own a comic bookstore and it means a lot to me, but not like you mean a lot to me. You’re more important than some comic bookstore. Businesses can be rebuilt and be replaced but, I can’t replace you and I can’t replace you.

I want you to make a promise me, alright? Don’t let anyone dim your light or they might be answering to someone. Me, and your moms, and your family. This is the order that they would be answering, your family, your moms, and me, and then my family. You’re going to be taking this world by storm when you get older and I know, deep down, you’re going to do AMAZING things and you can bet I will be right there, cheering you on. Every step of the way. I want you to remember these words, Nevertheless, She Persisted. The reason why I told you remember those words, is because if ANYONE tries to stop you, either if it’s family or someone close to you, show them your accomplishments and your voice, because you’re going to be making huge accomplishments. You’re going places Jane Evans, and I am so utterly happy to witness that little spark that you have already.

Carter smirked as he made his way into Mercedes’ club, glanced around until he spotted whom he was looking for. “Excuse ma’am, have you seen a woman about your height, she’s half Filipino and kinda is wearing what you’re wearing.” Carter said aloud into her ear with a smirk, feeling the aftermath of the shots had taken at Scandals. “I told her that I will come over and definitely spend some time with her, but for the life of me. Cannot find her.”

spencer: it's no problem, i'm glad you came, jane loved the stuff you got her. well, my grams and pops are still in town and they really want to see jane one last time before they go so i'm letting her stay with them for new years. i was gonna go to merecede's party. it's been a long while since i've actually gone out.

carter: me too, honestly. even if i passed out after i ate the food. oh? good, im glad that she loved them, especially the stuffed animal. i got one like that, and i thought, even though she doesn't know her aunt frannie yet, she should have a stuffed animal that's basically takes after her in the building stuff department. oh, okay cool. well, i was wondering if, it'd be okay with you and jane, if i could see her on new year's day? or even on sunday? i have a feeling im going to have my hands full with basically bar hoping with quinn for her birthday tomorrow.

Deciding to move in the middle of the bloody winter was a horrible idea, but I managed it, and only managed to fall on ice once. Which I consider a success, always been clumsy.

QUINN: why won't you be drinking??

CARTER: i mean, pretty sure sky is out of the hospital? idk if prayers and vibes will help her get the store back together but let's hope so?

CARTER: so puck, huh? interesting, but let's hope it'll be fun.

CARTER: i'm going to have a shot or two, but i kinda want to remember my night, but we'll see if it changes.

QUINN: okay, perfect! i don't want something super super big. but i want to be surrounded by decent people.

QUINN: i want to have fun and let loose and the people around me to allow me to do that but also in the same breath make sure i don't go too overboard since i've never really done anything like this before.

CARTER: ehhh, apparently, sky, the owner of hazy shades, ended up in the hospital this past weekend and there's a ton of damage inside of the shop. including a bunch of books on the floor. my heart goes out to them, because sky had the shop decorated for christmas.

CARTER: but idk if everything's okay or not, but my guess is not.

CARTER: how many people are we talking about, though?

CARTER: Good thing your brother won't be drinking.

I don’t know about you guys but this was arguably the best Christmas ever. What are we doing for New Years? Anything lit happening that I should know about? Who’s throwing a party? I’m ready to drink and dance the night away and kiss me a pretty girl at midnight.

Sounds like someone got laid or had something done to them, for a night to remember. I think Im supposed to be hanging out with my sister for her birthday, but I’m not sure. I think Mercedes mentioned throwing a party? I don’t know.

Okay so I may or may not have accidentally fallen off of my parents’ roof after one of the Christmas lights blew a fuse or something and I may or may not have hit my head falling because when I woke up there was a squirrel trying to get at my half-eaten candy bar that I had in my jacket pocket.

It was caramel, for those wondering.

I’m just, glad that you’re okay, Tommy. And my family freaks out whenever I get an idea. Like, yeah okay, I’m accident prone, but it wasn't my fault that my dirt bike decided not to land on the ground.
