Ahhh, my brain! I don't want to be that person, but my brain is like it is. What's going on with her right arm? It's like she's been drawn in orthographic. There's no perspective. The Vanille one had that too, honestly. And more importantly, her left wrist is....Pancake.

At least they drew her with muscles.

It is quite funny that she's "fearless l'Cie", though, when the core of her personality is spending the entire trilogy shit-scared for Vanille.

The reveal that Raines was a Sanctum l'Cie is always so funny to me. Not in a funny "hahah" way but in an incredulous "What did you think was gonna happen, my guy? You curated your entire military division to be full of anti-Sanctum dissidents. Of course someone was gonna notice" way.

Ages ago, I started working on a post on the nature of fal'Cie, given the amount of confusion I'd seen around them and what their exact function is in the lore. Would anybody still be interested in that post?

I feel like it says a lot about how much Sazh got sidelined in this trilogy that in the big flashback sequence at the end of LR, everyone else pops up multiple times but Sazh only gets the clip of him reuniting with Dajh, and like, this one random face that looks like it came from a promo image or a screenshot, and a clip from the scene two minutes before in which he shows up late to the final battle so they could make a gag of it.

Abysmal. Sazh deserved better.

Fuck remakes. Creatively bankrupt laziness. Just give me the original game at a better resolution so I can appreciate the pretty art, and maybe unfuck the subtitles because the localisation was bad.

FFXIII legit had the most insane pair dynamics

20 something ex-military lady who's so emotionally repressed she might as well be catholic who also had to raise her little sister since they were young x upper middle class teenage gayboy who's having the WORST day of his life and having to process copious amounts of trauma.

Annoying himbo (i don't use this word lightly) with a hero complex that's dating ex-military lady's teenage sister x ancient lesbian who wakes up from magical cryogenic sleep with no fucking memories of anything and was just running wild through the city until the Good Cops™ found her and offered her a job.

The smaller ancient lesbian who's just pretending to be amnesiac but is actually riddled with guilt over almost destrying the world a couple centuries ago and is lowkey suicidal x recently widowed single father whose son was chosen by the asshole gods to be a tool and taken away by the military and this guy just wants to reunite with his son in peace.

These six beautiful human disasters go on to somehow manage to work together and bring down god(s).
