so i had gotten a chibi commission done by my friend, quin ( here’s his twitter pls support a good man ) and i couldn’t not have zenos and ramai bickering with each other ( mainly ramai complaining abt something )

random au ra hc regarding their umbral rings came about when i changed ramai’s umbral ring colors from a cool green / blue to a bright orange is that. they aren’t permanent colors, because when a child of the steppe is born they are given blessings by their tribe leaders, and these blessings ( under which “month” / astral moon / sun or w.e i cant remember that for the life of me ) these blessings provide a subtle surge of aether within the child and the aether they are exposed to depicts the color their umbral rings will become. 

ramai was born with, as mentioned earlier, a cool green / blue color in umbral rings. but now since she has been exposed to the light in shb her umbral rings have turned to a bright orange color
