there was a sullen look in the teen’s emerald colored gaze, a bitterness hidden well beneath. lips formed a scowl and his attention was diverted elsewhere for the remaining seconds. to live in a world where things would not get any better. a world where anxiety ran free within the night. mornings ? what were those ? any time spent with his father. . .an absolute lying nightmare. the young man was smart enough not to defy spoken words yet adequately sly when he wanted to be. call that a trait, or rather, a habit passed down from his mother other than speaking in riddles. what he called  W I S D O M.

                                        001.  R E L A T I O N S H I P S

Ash is new to the Shadowhunter’s world. He’s lived most his life in Faerie with his mother learning their ways, adopting their habits, and preparing himself for the throne in case his mother is no longer with the Seelie anymore. These are his main relationship(s):

Jace Herondale —–Jace is a man Ash looks up to. In the world of Thule, Ash held a liking to him. Jace was / is everything he hoped to be. Strong. However, the Jace within his world is someone he knows of yet has almost the same similarities as the Thule Jace. Ash has seen his world’s Jace when he came to Faerie. Among others, Jace stands out. He is like a beacon to Ash, a safe harbor from his continuous nightmares. If Ash were to leave the Seelie court ( to be protected from those that wish him harm ) he wouldn’t hesitate to go with Jace back to the Institute. To learn from a legend on how to bare arms against foes, to learn how to be…good. 

Isabelle Lightwood —–  Ash is unsure of what to make of this woman. When he looks at her he sees hatred within the depths of her eyes; he’s confused and rather sad. He doesn’t know what he’s done to deserve her heated looks of contempt. There are times he tries to talk with her; sometimes he gets a response and other times, silence. He understands her actions speak loud than words. He isn’t ignorant of the fact of the atrocity his father committed to the Lightwoods, but the second he says otherwise ( I’m not my father ) it’s always met with ( but the fey folk always lie. demons manipulate and they always lie ! ). After a while, they both get to know one another. It’s a slow burning process and he realizes that Isabelle is like the fierce, protective sister he has always dreamed of. Her intensity does scare him some of the times. 

Parents —–  First off, Sebastian / Jonathan: He was never really a big fan of his father. Ash has never addressed Sebastian / Jonathan by ( Dad ) like other children. He does not like how his father uses violence for the fun nor does he like how Sebastian / Jonathan thinks about Downworlders. It has him question his very being as if he were no more than just a pawn to his father’s game. Ash never liked considered an object nor a prize to be won. He has feelings unlike his father. Feeling emotions confuses him since he was taught they emotions were a hindrance. Second, his mother, the Seelie Queen: She is his light. She is his shield. She is his ground when he falters. This was the woman who raised him with a stern yet loving hand. Others may think her cruel, but Ash thinks of her as a powerful entity that will crush anything and anyone who tries to take him from her. He would do anything to protect his mother from harm.

Clary Fairchild-Morgenstern —-  Ash doesn’t know much about his aunt. When he looks t her he can clearly see something in the depths of her eyes that holds some puzzled feelings about him. To him, she isn’t easy to read. She isn’t an open book to him like she is to everyone else. The color of her eyes reminds him of his father’s and there are times he assumes she’s just like him. Ash wonders what she’s like. Is she like Sebastian / Jonathan or is she someone who will climb the mountains to get to the stars ? Ash is quiet around her. 

Simon Lewis-Lovelace  —- He doesn’t know how to interact with this man, but he tries his hardest. Simon is an easy person to talk to unlike with Isabelle. It’s awkward at first for Ash, but he warms up to Simon. The feeling of protection from the Shadowhunter makes him feel at ease. If he had a brother, it would be him. No one else can lighten up other’s mood like Lewis, though some of the times Ash has a hard time comprehending his jokes. Faeries take things literally alomost all of the time.

Magnus Bane; Alec Lightwood  —- Next, Magnus. He is like a Rubix cube, hard to solve. Ash doesn’t exactly know why he gets the side-eye from the Warlock nor does he ask. He just knows that whatever his father did to him was awful. Though he catches a glimpse of curiosity from the high warlock here and there. With Magnus, Ash does not speak unless spoken to. Finally, Alec. The way Alec looks at him is like poison, hoping Ash would choke on it; yet, he is unaware of his sin. To him, Alec is a second Isabelle but his shell is the hardest to crack open. There are times where Ash will watch from afar until the older Lightwood looks his way, then the half-breed disappears from his sight. It’s not that he’s afraid simply uncomfortable.

                                        fingers curled in, hands now clenching into fists at his side. the roiling anger seemed to reflect within the depths of his green colored eyes. the emotion washed away replaced with an eerie coolness — a chilling resemblance to sebastian. lips turn up into a mockery of a grin; it was a grin that didn’t seem to crinkle his eyes, nor did a shine light his irises.
