Every once in a while I’ll find myself watching something that makes me go “wow, there was a whole group of people that came together to make something beautiful.” It’ll remind me of why I want to pursue animation. That’s how I feel about Craig of the Creek. I feel like I’ve already talked ad nauseam about my love of the show but I really just wanted to say thanks again to the creek crew for creating such a magical show. From storytelling, to writing black characters in such a humanizing, compassionate and loving way that warmed my heart. Words can’t even fully describe how much this show means to me.

To anybody who worked on the show if you read this. no matter how big or small your contribution was to the show, I hope you walk with pride in your heart knowing that you worked on something special. I wish you all nothing but the best moving forward.

This won’t be the last time I draw Craig and the creek kids lol but I wanted to take the time to draw what I think of when I think of cotc.

Truly, thank you for showing how beautiful life can be.

to answer this person's question/s, the color around the eyes are actually the lashes!

my art actually used to look like this a few years back:

The reason why I decided to color the lashes is because I felt like having it just be totally black/lineart color would be out of place and would take away the focus from the irises. It'd look especially out of place if the character's palette is really light. I also color my lineart, so it'd look weird the the color of the lashes wouldn't be the same as the hair FHSHF

Basically, I didn't like the look of really thick eyelash lineart vs. lineart of the rest of the art, and thats why I decided to draw them like that ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
