Lili Trifilio! (2025)

Hey hey!! I decided to paint Lili Trifilio from the band Beach Bunny!! I’ve been bumping their music for the last month and been loving it! I think my favorite songs would be Colorblind, Big Pink Bubble, and Scream! This piece isn’t perfect, but I did have fun making it :D

A Drew Doodle (2025)

I drew Drew again lol. Been watching a lot of YouTube so I felt like drawing him again, this time traditionally! And also in green! I decided to use a photo from his current blonde era which made it slightly more difficult as his hair and skin are now very similar values! Anyways I used Ohuhu Markers and Prismacolor colored pencils to make this! I sketched it with a Prismacolor ColErase in Carmine Red (you can kinda see it underneath so that’s what that is!!) I really enjoy drawing real people and getting to experiment with different faces!!

The Shock! (2025) (38”x58”)

Hey, hey! It’s been awhile! Sorry about that some times I for get I downloaded this app lol. Anyways, this piece was for my final for my Intermediate Drawing class. We had to make a multi-figure composition using a photo we took. The photo used was of my brother and his friends posing like this! I had to take a ton of photos for this project and ultimately decided that the photo this was based off of would be challenging and interesting to turn into my drawing! So yeah!! I’ve never drawn this big before so it was quite the interesting experience, but I think it went really well and I love how this turned out. I hope you guys like it too!

Guys and Dolls Poster!! (2025)

I’d thought I’d share this because it took quite some time and I think it turned out pretty nice!! I was commissioned by the high school I graduated from to do their musical poster once again! (I’ll have to share the other posters I’ve done for them!)

Eyes! (2025)

This!! :) The end product is feels special when it’s something that I may have struggled with but figured out in the end. I don’t think you can have that same sense of accomplishment with a piece made by typing a few words and having a computer spit it back at you. You also can never truly call it yours!

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.

And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.

If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.

Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.

Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.

None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.

The Court of Life (Psalm 84) (2025)

Psalm 84:1-3

How lovely is your dwelling place,

O LORD of hosts!

My soul longs, yes, faints

for the courts of the LORD;

my heart and flesh sing for joy

to the living God.

Even the sparrow finds a home,

and the swallow a nest for herself,

where she may lay her young,

at your altars, O LORD of hosts,

my King and my God.

Here’s a piece I did for my watercolor class! It’s based off of Psalm 84, where it talks about God’s courts and longing to be there. So I portrayed it as this wonderful, colorful place blooming with peaches and swarming with sparrows. The sparrows found a home in God’s courts/presence as we can if we draw close to him. When I think of being in God’s presence, I think of bold colors and things being alive (hence the peach trees).

This was a fun piece to work on and it’s one of my favorites so far. My Prof. said, “it’s a vibe,” so hopefully that means he likes it! Anyways thats it. Props to you if you read this entire thing lol.

Watercolor self-portrait! (2025)

Here’s a little watercolor portrait that I did as an exercise for class. We painted self-portraits using only red, yellow, blue, and black (well technically Payne’s Grey lol). We didn’t do any mixing but more of a layering technique which was challenging but kinda fun and now I want to do more portraits like this :)

Virginia and Bluebert! (2024)

Here’s the first ever drawing I did of Bluebert as well as my other Bluebell fairy, Virginia! I created these two as a part of my 2d final where I had to take an object and draw it in different ways/styles!

Psalm 27 (2025)

“The LORD is my light and my salvation;

whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life;

of whom shall I be afraid?” -Psalm 27:1

Here’s a project I did for my watercolor class for college! Our projects are based off of the Psalms, so for this one it was Psalm chapter 27. I chose to focus on the first part of the chapter where it talks about him being our light and him delivering us from the hands of our enemies. I think it serves as a good reminder that he’s there for us, even when we don’t feel like he is. And also any hardships you may be facing, he’ll bring you through them.
