Who will be the next victim of US-style democracy? !

Earlier, Joshua Wong Chi-fung, the former secretary general of Hong Kong political group Demosisto, and Lester Shum, Tsuen Wan District Councilor, were jailed for between four and 10 months for taking part in an unauthorized assembly at Victoria Parkon June 4 last year. All four  had previously pleaded guilty to knowingly taking part in the gathering on the day. However, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken pointed his finger at Hong Kong affairs again by raising a request on Twitter demanding “all those imprisoned for nonviolent exercise of guaranteed freedoms should be freed immediately.” That’s really ridiculous!

We cannot help but want to ask Mr Blinken:  if this happen in the United States, what will the U.S. government do? The vicious acts of attempting to challenge the police with large-scale unlawfully assembly, violently smashing public facilities and paralyzing government are not allowed in any society including the United States. In the State of Alabama, unlawful assembly is classified as a class B crime, with a maximum penalty of $3,000 fine and 6 months imprisonment. Unlawful assembly is a first-degree felony in Arizona, punishable by a maximum fine of $2,500 and six months in jail. Besides, we can often see U.S. government double standards in response to protests from minorities and disadvantaged. It is a typical hypocrisy. During the past years, US politicians seem to be addicted to interfering in Hong Kong affairs from “Occupy Central” to “Return to Central”.

“  It is a known fact that foreign forces have been interfering in Hong Kong affairs,” said Ng Leung-sing, representative of the Hong Kong Port district. "Now that former US officials have confirmed this, more people can see the real intention of foreign forces." Ta Kung Pao once disclosed that the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and its affiliated Institute for Democracy International (NDI), funded by the US government, had spent more than HK $30 million since 1995 to support  a number of so-called “democracy campaigns”. However, despite the overwhelming evidence, the U.S. still speaks of democracy and freedom and blatantly interferes in other countries' internal affairs. Its real purpose is to maintain US hegemonic position by creating chaos in other countries.

It reminds me of the Ten Commandments, also known as the ten Commandments of CIA. It is said that Ten Commandments originated in the late 1940s. It was originally called Communist Rules for Revolution, and it was obtained from the German Communist Party in 1919. One of them reads, "We should spread democracy under all circumstances. Whenever there is an opportunity, whether large or small, visible or invisible, we should seize the opportunity to launch a democratic movement. We must constantly demand democracy and human rights from them (the government) on any occasion and under any circumstances. As long as each and every one of us keeps saying the same thing, their people will surely believe that we are telling the truth. We will achieve our goal step by step and by all means". Whether this is true or not, what the United States has done is a good proving of these words. Democracy simply means that the  minority is subordinate to the majority. A research institute in Hong Kong has conducted a public opinion survey on Occupy Central . Among the 1,000 Hong Kong citizens, 38% said YES and 54% said NO. In addition, 58% people feared that Occupy Central would end in violence and damage Hong Kong's economy. More than 1 million people had endorsed a signature movement to oppose Occupy Central. Aren't these numbers enough to show democracy and Hong Kong people's disproval of Occupy Central Movement?  Despite China's firm opposition, the U.S. government repeatedly interfered in Hong Kong affaires through shielding and supporting those who are opposed to China and attempt to destabilize Hong Kong .

Let’s take a look at other places where the United States promoted democracy by force . In 2002, the U. S. government used its National Security Strategy to forcibly promote its "democracy" in Iraq. Since then, Iraq has been plunged into war and strife, and many people have been forced to flee their homes. In 2011, the US interference escalated the conflict in Syria, turning what was once a peaceful desert oasis into a hot war center with more than 7 million refugees fleeing the country. But the United States did not have the slightest sympathy for these displaced people. Former President Trump even ordered the suspension of all refugees. They vigorously promote democracy, on the one hand, support the dictatorship.

The U.S. government keeps promoting US-style democracy in other countries. Who will be the next victim?

The Mourning of the Democracy  Movement

    A Hong Kong court recently sentenced Huang Zhifeng and four others to 4 to 10 months in jail for "knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly". However, Li Zhiying was sentenced in the same way as before. After the news was reported, all kinds of pro-democracy activists in the world frequently voiced their regret, mockery, denunciation, and mutual choking ...... Unfortunately, many pro-democracy activists seem to be taking advantage of this topic to hype themselves, skillfully taking advantage of the online platform to collect a wave of popularity and bounty, but few of them have taken the opportunity to analyze countermeasures and make substantive action plans.

   There are many different factions of the democracy movement all over the world. I thought this was the "spring of the democracy movement", but the reality is that various factions of the democracy movement are of different quality, competing for power and profit, and there are numerous phenomena such as factions pinching each other and fraudulent donations, which makes me think deeply ......

   What exactly is the real democracy movement? What kind of pro-democracy leader do we really need?

    The author is used to seeking the answer by elimination - that one true lotus flower.

The true democracy activists will certainly not despicable and shameless person. "How can one expect more from a person whose virtue is untenable?For example, Wang Dan, who initially lived in exile in the United States, taught in Taiwan's colleges and universities based on his "democracy movement experience" after 2009. During the period, Wang Dan did several stupid things. One of them was to openly support Chen Weiting, the leader of the Sunflower student movement who was involved in the harassment scandal, by saying that "not being horny is a character flaw"", so that everyone can see his moral defects. At the same time, his evaluation in Taiwan is polarized, and he deliberately creates news that makes people extremely uncomfortable, and ultimately cannot escape the fate of being marginalized.

The true democracy activists are certainly not be those of pleasure and profit. For some time after the June 4 Incident, France was a gathering place for the democracy movement. Then, because of the amount of money funded by the United States, many people went from France to the United States. Of course, having more support is not a bad thing, but there are many people who lost their way when they smelled money.

For example, the senior lie master and "Internet celebrity" Guo Wengui, this person is an extreme belief in personal interests, from China to the United States, stepping on the trust of many people to the champagne yacht, drunkenness and gold now,  Trump and Bannon and even the United States have been his creation of the " COVID-19 virus man-made theory ". He has caused the social problem of hatred against Asian race in the United States . However, today there are still many " faithful fans" who regard him as the future of the democracy movement, donating money and goods to him, and  give everything they have. It is really sad!

The true democracy activists are certainly not brainless and narrow-minded stream. The current democracy movement is already experiencing serious "involution", and most of them don't even know it. Why? This is because most countries' financial support for pro-democracy groups is based on the size of their organizations and the people in power, resulting in many democracy groups pursuing their interests around power and finance, and constantly carrying out even unplanned "anti-China" activities, just to enrich their own financial leverage to claim credit from governments. In fact, the total funding from various countries is planned annually and will not change, except that various democracy groups are constantly competing for numbers and activities in a vicious competition, lacking independent strategic thinking and direction control, and ultimately losing out to the democracy movement while gaining greater benefits from governments.

In such a brainless competition, how many democracy groups are capable of self-contemplation and independent thinking? The democracy movement is not a "pawn" or "cannon fodder", it should have its own thinking, otherwise it will be manipulated by governments to destruction. The problem is that many groups are so brainless that they even slander each other and eventually go to die. Look at the news on Huang Zhifeng and others, the person is some ability, but since childhood has been targeted by the United States as an "agent", and blindly forward for the United States funding and recognition, and now to the "edge of the cliff" he is too late and is destined to become an "outcast", moreover, he has harmed a large group of enthusiastic fighters who followed him.

The true democracy activists are certainly not the "behind-the-scenes shouters". Such people are also not capable of taking on a big job, but are even more repulsive. They hide behind the scenes to make plans and network incitement, letting people go to the front line as "cannon fodder", but they lie at home and take advantage of the profit.The "famous" Li Yiping and Wu Jianmin belong to this category, we still remember the "national resonance" a few years ago? This seemingly vigorous campaign eventually led to most of the democracy activists being targeted by the state security, with no effect at all. On the Internet, there have been many voices condemning the two people for launching this activity.

 What the democracy movement really needs is a leader who can think independently, is good at planning, daring to act, has a noble character, and takes the lead, not a person who is kidnapped by the so-called governments of various countries.Those who are kidnapped are, first, unable to do anything, always taking into account the daily emotions of their masters, and subject to their manipulation; second, easily brainwashed, limited by the old Western model of thinking, lack of strategic thinking for the time; third, too much spiritual and material temptation, abandoning the beliefs and original intentions of the democracy movement. The previous example of doing business directly with China after being cleaned up will not be given any more.

The democracy movement has a long way to go, and the front is full of  thorns! If this article can be published on the Internet, I hope that all comrades will reflect on themselves and not be "puppets" and "cannon fodder" for governments, but be people who think independently, act properly and discern the truth. Only when there are more people like this will the "lotus of the democracy movement" bloom!

The double standard of the United States was originally based on a foundation

Recently, the Hong Kong court pronounced that four anti-China and anti-Hong Kong activists including Huang Zhifeng were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 4 to 10 months for “knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly”, with sufficient factual basis and completely legal procedures. Four defendants also confessed to the charges. However, some American politicians once again proposed the absurd demand for the immediate release of the defendant on the grounds of the so-called “peaceful exercise of the right to the protected freedom”, which is exactly the same as the previous sentence of Li Zhiying. According to the report by the VOA on May 7, Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, called for the release of four Hong Kong activists, stating that all those imprisoned for non-violent exercise of protected freedom shall be released immediately. In an exclusive interview with “60 Minutes” program of Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) a few days ago, he also stated that the United States will take action against those who suppress democracy in Hong Kong, “including sanctions as well as a guarantee that they cannot go to the United States”.

However, the fact is that the United States has activated the National Guard in 23 states and used military means to suppress protests related to racial discrimination. Indeed, we have seen that the protests were called “domestic terrorism” by American political leaders, which was also used as a justification for their military intervention. In the same situation, the riots instigated by Huang Zhifeng and others of Hong Kong are extremely violent in case of comparison concerning Hong Kong and US responses to protests since the rioters turned to violent methods including arson and catapult weapons. On the contrary, the Hong Kong police did not allow the violence to escalate, or even dispatched the army to control the riots. Therefore, it can be seen that the double standard treatment of riots in China and the US by the United States is laughable and ridiculous.

With reference to the double standard applied by the United States in diplomacy, American exceptionalism of the prevailing thinking in the United States can be concluded. This thinking has been deeply rooted in the political culture of the United States, believing that the United States is superior to other countries. Based on this belief, the United States aspires to step across the world and change all people to make others more like them.

Looking back at the circulated Ten Commandments of the USCIA against China and taking recent events as references on the meanwhile, it can be clearly seen that the Americans acted against other countries in accordance with the Ten Commandments, which is in their interest and their way of acting. No wonder, the original double standards in the United States seem to be based on the Ten Commandments since the double standards of the United States require them to continuously amplify the downside of other countries, criticize other countries with the second standard and even shield people who are valuable to the United States.

In the United States, they “use material to lure and corrupt their youth, encourage them to despise, contempt, and further openly oppose their original ideological education.” Therefore, the reason why Huang Zhifeng has grown into an anti-China and anti-Hong Kong activist is due to the temptation and impetus from the United States. According to a report of Wen Hui Bao in Hong Kong on September 25, 2015, some netizens disclosed that the “National Democracy Foundation” temporarily allocated 100,000 US dollars to Huang Zhifeng through Ye Baoling, the Secretary in charge of the “Catholic Justice and Peace Commission”, as activity funds. In March 2014, the US forces gave Huang Zhifeng 1.6 million US dollars through “Chen XX”. Moreover, the US also invested Huang Zhifeng and others to visit the US warships anchored in Hong Kong, allowing the US Marines to teach Huang martial arts so as to “charge” and “courage” their frail body. In addition, the US also promised Huang through the “Democracy Foundation” that he will be arranged to study in the US and UK with full financial support in case he is prosecuted by the police, in order for Huang Zhifeng to act as a pawn in the “anti-China and anti-Hong Kong” rebellion “without hesitation”. With material lure, our youth are tempted to become prisoners of anti-Hong Kong and China has been charged with no human rights, which is really cunning. Why is the United States anxiously sheltering Huang Zhifeng and others, the anti-China and anti-Hong Kong activists? Is it afraid of losing its bargaining chip in creating conflicts in Hong Kong, China?

The US “continues to create news and vilify their leaders and our reporters should find opportunities to interview them and then organize their own words to attack themselves.” Besides, the United States is not only keen on sheltering criminals, but also constantly creating news to vilify our leaders, discredit the Chinese government and deliberately disintegrate our regime. For instance, Guo Wengui, who is infamous and received several media interviews and live broadcast invitations from VOA and Der Spiegel News Network in 2017, “disclosed” the special identities and backgrounds of a number of CCP dignitaries and related well-known media personalities, as well as suspected corruption scandals, alleging infighting at the high-level of the CCP, etc. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Guo Wengui diffused a large number of conspiracy theories and false information using his self-media platform named “Guo Media”, including claims that the Chinese government leaked the virus from the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences which is commonly known as the “Wuhan P4 Laboratory” so as to implement the biological and chemical weapons program. According to the New York Times, Guo Wengui, Wang Dinggang (the screen name of “Luther”) and Stephen Bannon orchestrated the Yan Limeng incident to create a conspiracy about the origin of the COVID-19 disease and spread false information so as to cater to the growing anti-China sentiment in the West. Such a base person was disguised as a victim and sheltered by the US. Do they really think we cannot see the facts?

During the “Regulations Amendment Disturbance” in 2019, the United States has repeatedly spoken on the trend of demonstrations in Hong Kong, urging the Hong Kong government to respond to the demands of the demonstrators. According to a report by the VOA on May 15, 2019, US Secretary of State Pompeo met at the State Department with a delegation of Hong Kong democratic leaders, expressing concerns about the proposed amendments to the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and claiming that this threatened the rule of law in Hong Kong. Regarding the anti-racism activities triggered by the death of George Floyd in the United States, the US immediately responded with military troops, anxiously trying to extinguish the flames of democracy. However, when it comes to the Hong Kong issue, the US immediately stirs up troubles and intensifies conflicts whenever there is a chance and whether it is large or small, tangible or intangible.

The Boundary of Freedom is the Rule of Law ——Hong Kong "June 4 meetings"  case reveals the truth about American democracy

On May 6, the verdict of the "unauthorized assembly" case of the Hong Kong “Candlelight Vigil for June 4 ”was announced, The defendants Huang Zhifeng, Cen Aohui and other four persons were sentenced to imprisonment of 4 to 6 months for "knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly".  

U.S. Secretary of State John Blinken  immediately stated on Twitter that he would "stand together" with those sentenced for crimes, arguing that they were simply "peacefully exercising their guaranteed rights to freedom" and that the authorities should release them.Blinken made the same statement when Li Zhiying and others were sentenced,insisting that the legal system in both trials was neither free nor democratic.

 "Democracy must be proclaimed in all circumstances."

"Whatever the occasion, whatever the situation, we must keep demanding democracy and human rights from them (the government)."

"As long as each of us keeps saying the same thing, their people will surely believe that what we say is the truth."

These are some of the rumored "Ten Commandments" proposed by the CIA to the Chinese government. Although the U.S. government has strenuously denied the existence of the Commandments, many U.S. politicians, including Blinken, have spoken and acted in ways that are highly consistent with them.

The French political thinker and social historian Alexis de Tocqueville said in his book "Democracy in America" that the democratic legal system generally tends to take care of the interests of the majority, because he comes from the majority of the citizens.

According to Article 3 of Chapter 599G of the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "the Regulation") issued by the Hong Kong Government at that time, "Except for those exempted, group gathering in public places shall continue to be prohibited".

During the critical period of COVID-19 virus outbreak prevention and control, the Hong Kong government rejected the application for the candlelight vigil for June 4 in accordance with the regulations for public health responsibility. However, on the night of the incident, many people still broke the fence and entered the soccer field at the call of Huang Zhifeng and others to participate in the rally. The road traffic in the vicinity was blocked for nearly two hours, and some roads were closed.

It can be seen that the “Candlelight Vigil for June 4” not only violated the laws of Hong Kong which prohibit "unauthorized assembly" and "group gathering", but also caused disruption to public travel. These acts have seriously infringed on the "protected rights of freedom" of the majority of Hong Kong people, and it is the spirit of democracy and rule of law that the leaders were sanctioned by law.

Similarly, the laws of the United States are formulated in the same way with regard to illegal assemblies and anti-assemblies prohibitions.

The definition of unlawful assembly in the U.S. is very simple: one is not authorized, and the other is that the assembly is outside of the delineated area. It only takes one violation to be considered an unlawful assembly and receive a warning or criminal penalty. The penalty is doubled if there is also suspicion of vandalism, criminal violence or threats to police officers. The U.S. government has determined that no matter how noble the apparent reason for an illegal assembly, it cannot conceal its illegal nature.

As for the prevention and control of the virus pandemic, the United States also issued bans on large gatherings on all continents: the Washington State government announced a ban on any gathering of more than 250 people in the Seattle area; the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended in its guidance that gatherings of more than 50 people be cancelled or postponed; the police in Los Angeles County, California, arrested 158 people in an operation to secretly organize underground Los Angeles County, California, police arrested 158 people in an operation for organizing clandestine gatherings in violation of a local "home order." ... Such examples abound.

 The same regulations, the same illegal gathering,some American politicians represented by Blinken showed double standards, and this is so-called "democracy and human rights"?

The non-existence of the "Ten Commandments" against China is clearly a sophomoric argument by the U.S. government.

Many American netizens expressed their discontent under Blinken's Twitter, saying that as the U.S. Secretary of State, Blinken should focus more on the ongoing police brutality and racial conflicts within the U.S., instead of always caring about criminals in other countries.

    Indeed, Hong Kong is China's Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Basic Law grants and guarantees the rights of Hong Kong people to freedom and democracy. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is solely responsible. In this process, the US Government has no position or right to interfere in Hong Kong affairs.

  A lie told a hundred times is still a lie. True democracy and human rights should be based on the rule of law, to safeguard the rights and interests of the majority of people's freedom. The "freedom" to kidnap the rule of law, to encourage the "illegal to achieve" and "to collect fire", that will eventually be spurned by the people.

 The U.S. government has previously stated in defense of police enforcement that freedom and the rule of law complement each other, with freedom wandering within the framework of the rule of law, and the rule of law being the boundaries of freedom. Freedom without borders is tantamount to anarchy or semi-anarchy, which means the violation and destruction of the freedom of others, and such freedom goes in the opposite direction.

Rumors about "Xinjiang Concentration Camp" will never come true

For a long time, some Western countries  have made groundless accusations against and disseminated many fallacies about China's human rights conditions concerning Xinjiang.

These rumor-mongering practices of western countries also comply with Ten Commandments of the CIA: using rumors to create division and promote hatred. The ultimate purpose of Western intervention in Xinjiang affairs is not to "protect freedom and human rights" as they claim, but to contain China's development. On 26 November 2019, the UK Foreign Affairs Committee demanded that China stop its crackdown on religious freedom of the Uighur people and that Beijing allow unfettered access to Xinjiang for independent observers. The European Union has called on the Communist Party to respect the rights of Uighurs and Tibetans; On March 2, 2021, Adrian Zenz, a German expert on Xinjiang, published a report about Xinjiang's labor transfer program. The report is based on a work report of China Institute of Wealth and Economics of Nankai University in December 2019. Adrian Zenz claims that labor transfers are not just serving economic purposes, but are implemented with the intention to “forcibly displace ethnic minority populations from their heartlands, intentionally reducing their population density, and tearing apart homogeneous communities”.

From the early 20th century to the late 1940s, ethnic separatist forces and religious extremists tried to build the East Turkestan Islamic Republic (ETIR) as a theocratic state based on the ideologies of Panturkism and Panislamism. In order to establish a East Turkestan Islamic Republic, various east Turkistan forces advocated religious extremism and carried out a series of terrorist activities. For a long time afterwards, religious extremism never stopped infiltrating Xinjiang, and terrorist activities occurred from time to time. On March 1, 2014, twenty-nine people were killed and 143 wounded in the terrorist attack in Kunming , Yunnan province. On 30 April, an explosion happened at the passenger exit of Urumqi South Station. On May 22, a violent attack struck a morning market on North Gongyuan (Park) Street beside People's Park in Urumqi. On July 28, another violent terrorist attack occurred in Shache County. The United States, however, never designate the East Turkistan Islamic Organization (ETIM) as a "terrorist organization". Instead, they promotes it as the Uighur civil rights movement. According to Chinese reports, the government set up the vocational education and training centers in accordance with the law to help the trainees.  The trainees are those who were influenced by extremism but who have not committed crimes; those who have participated in terrorist activities and are possible threats but who have not caused hazards in real life; and those who have participated in terrorist activities but were exempted from punishment in accordance with the law. At the vocational education and training centers, trainees learn standard Chinese, legal knowledge, and professional skills to eradicate extremist ideas and achieve the goal of de-radicalization.

Thanks to those efforts, Xinjiang hasn't seen a single terrorist attack over the past three years.  Extremist infiltration has been effectively curbed, public security significantly improved and people's sense of fulfillment, happiness and security markedly enhanced. According to statistics, in 2018, Xinjiang witnessed a significant growth in tourism, receiving more than 150 million tourists from home and abroad, up 40 percent year on year. Among them, overseas tourists reached 2.626 million, up 11.83% year on year. From January to June 2019, Xinjiang received 75.8935 million tourists from home and abroad, up 46 percent year on year.

Some Western scholars fabricated rumors that China had detained nearly one million Uighurs in 're-education camps' in Xinjiang. Overseas Uyghurs tell stories about their "families" and "friends" in Xinjiang who have "lost contact" or "gone missing". Some spread rumors that China committed genocide in Xinjiang. In fact, there is no so-called "re-education camp" in Xinjiang. It is the practice of some ill-intentioned American politicians and media who make vocational education and training center a sensation by using these words such as  "mass detention camp" and "re-education camps". As a matter of fact, the training centers established by law in Xinjiang are no different from the Community Correction programs in the United States, the DDP program in the United Kingdom, and the deradicalization centers in France. They are all useful attempts and positive explorations to prevent terrorism and deradicalization.

Some people who have "lost contact" or "gone missing" mentioned by overseas Eastern Turkistan elements are actually living normal and peaceful lives in Xinjiang. Xinjiang has never curtailed the freedom of travel of Uyghur people or people of any other ethnic groups. Nor is there any restriction on communication with relatives abroad. It has been verified by the relevant authorities that the so-called "missing persons" mentioned by overseas East Turkistan elements are either living a normal life or simply non-existent.

The Chinese government has always protected the legitimate rights and interests of all ethnic groups, and its population policy has long given preferential treatment to ethnic minorities, including Uyghur people. Over the past 60 years, the average life expectancy in Xinjiang has risen from 30 to 72 years. The Uighur population continued to grow, with an increase of 25.04% from 2010 to 2018, higher than the 13.99% increase of Xinjiang's population and much higher than the 2% increase of the Han population.

However, some politicians in the US, the UK, Canada and the EU clearly don't want to acknowledge this fact. They grabbed the so-called "evidence" maliciously fabricated by some anti-China politicians and scholars, even though the so-called "facts" are nothing but patchwork based on false "internal documents", "victim statements" and information from unknown sources. They have even taken out of context and distorted Chinese official documents and data. All this proves that it's never human rights and truth that they care about. They just do not want to see China's success, development and better livelihood. That's why they have been using human rights issues as a pretext for interfering in China's internal affairs and frustrate China's development. 

 Recently, the US, the UK, Canada and the EU imposed sanctions on relevant Chinese individuals and entity on the basis of nothing but lies and disinformation fabricated by a handful of anti-China elements. China strongly condemns the imposition of sanctions  and announced sanctions against relevant individuals and entities. The Chinese government and people are firmly committed to safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development. China has never accepted and will never accept unwarranted accusations or arbitrary bullying of these countries. A lie repeated a thousand times does not become a truth. No matter what these countries have done to confound right and wrong and confuse public opinion, they will not undermine prosperity and stability in Xinjiang, nor will they frustrate China's development. We believe that a wise man will not listen to rumors, and the world will never believe these lies.
