Hello false mike enjoyers!

I’ve spent a bit of time focusing on other art projects and the everyday activities of life.. but I am back in action!! Today I bring you… the tenna design I said I’d be working on!!

He’s not really in the best shape, but he turns on, sometimes!! Though his arms have been replaced they aren’t held up too tight, and it isn’t too infrequent that they fall off..

I’m happy with how he came out.. And im excited to get back to more AU stuff!!

This design is awesome DONT PUT YOURSELF DOWN!!!!!! I LOVE the use of the string in it that is such a good move,, TY FOR THE ART OF MY CRITTER TOO!!

It's been way too hot to properly draw anything so. More Battat doodles I suppose! Tried my hand at designing a shadowcrystalled one as well to... uncertain results.(Apologies for the garbage quality)

Also featuring @falsemikeau 's design because 1) it inspired my own pretty heavily and 2) it's so much better than mine lmao. Also I wanted to draw it sue me it looks really cool. May or may not be the reason i can't get the freak out of my head rn.

(Again, sorry for the shit quality. Also sorry if i got the colours wrong i was winging it lmao)

I am completely obsessed with this little fella by @falsemikeau so I had to draw him. Literally I've listened to so much Phantom of the Opera over the past two days because of this-

Was also thinking about potentially composing a boss battle theme - my idea right now would definitely have some Phantom inspired organ lines but also ideas from chapter 3/catswing/airwaves. I'll think about it some more :D

boss I must admit. seeing this gave me the sauce and confidence to start writing a take on a ShadowCrystal Battat as well. Anywhooo- would love to hear anything more you might have on the design thoughts for False!Mike! Like, the vampire vibes lending to the cloak- did that just come from how you draw Battat normally, or?

We, I’m glad!! Excited to see whatever you may come up with!

For the design process.. I know I had two things in mind, mainly. Mix together aspects from my Mike and Battat designs to create something not quite mike and not quite Battat, and the back of the cloak giving the silhouette a look sorta like wings. I definitely wanted to lean into the vampire vibes more too, definitely. How can I NOT give a spooky messed up battat extra vampire vibes?

what’s tenna’s reaction to battat like this

In the moments where tennas screen lights up after some repair work, even if just going to static, the glimpses he sees of mike are unrecognizable in a similar way to how it was with spamton when they reunited. He makes out the shape and the vague idea of mike, but no, definitely not. Too many strange and weird changes.

The eyes behind the mask are the most familiar thing to him, just faint recognition of the pippins that was there.

Along with the pluey and jongler designs, I’ll have to make a repaired tenna design with them..

where would Battat(Mike??) be in the game? secret bosses are usually hidden behind some sort of scavenger hunt(Spamton with the disc thing, Jevil with the key pieces), so how would we get to the silly?

How would his fight be like?

I’m not too sure about any kind of game mechanics, but @ cozza-frenzy had some really cool ideas in this post that are so worth checking out for the battle!!

For his location.. my top idea is the cliffs by castle town and the area you find yourself in when you first enter the school closet. I’ve always assumed that’s just part of castle towns layout, though inaccessible.. to get to him you’d have to use the climbing gear given by Jackenstein to get up the cliff. That’s my thoughts at the moment on his location..

Ooourghgrh wait that last art piece you reblogged (incredible thang) got me thinkin.... Would Battat try to show other people the Shadow Crystal, like Jongler and Pluey? (If those two ever do find him again.) Or would he want to keep that knowledge all to himself?

With the way Battat, sorry, Mike denies the truth.. I dont know if he’d even want to see the crystal himself. I’m sure he does look at it, I’m sure he spends all of his time when he’s not “working” staring at it, trying to figure out any plot holes or loopholes to prove it false while finding nothing, but he still tells himself it’s false and dislikes the thing!

The idea of showing someone else the crystal.. maybe if he thinks he can prove something from it he might. I’m sure he’ll find a way to convince himself the shadow crystal is the key to proving itself false.

I do wonder though, what would happen if one was to destroy a shadow crystal..?

On a scale of 1 to cosmic horrors probably like.. the horror of stubbing your toe 1000 times? That seems like a lot but still a bit redeemable..
