“Hey, don’t worry about it: that’s what brothers are for, you know?” He gives Saishu a soft smile, rubbing his head a little. Shuichi always found having his hair stroked to be a comforting and calming gesture, so he sometimes loved doing that to him as well.

“Goodnight, Saishu. Have a nice sleep.” He tells him, relieved that he was finally going to get some sleep tonight, with the hopes it’ll be a long, relaxing sleep for him.

Shuichi was pretty tired himself, but he’d wait until his brother is fully asleep before he’d drift off, just to make sure one last time that he’s alright.

“Thank you...” The words left him as an exhausted mumble, eyes fluttering close very quickly. It didn’t take long before Saishu was passed out beside his brother, curled up onto his side. His head lay near his brother’s arm as he breathed evenly and calmly, finally peaceful in his unconscious state. Things seemed to finally be quiet when...

The idol’s screen lit up in the darkness and vibrated, indicating a new text message has been received. At first glance, it seemed to have been a group message from their parents. Strange. Shuichi wasn’t included in this group...
