A combination of my personal headcanon and a headcanon of teletraantwo that I really liked: Swerve has an optic of a different colour due to a mishap while he was being forged, so his optic ended up with that uneven purple colour on his right optic.

That optic isn't very useful, to be honest. Swerve can only see blurry if his good optic is covered, but he has never replaced it because: First, it doesn't bother him at all (even though it sometimes gives him processor pain). Second, he doesn't know if they can actually replace it or anything like that, and he hasn't bothered to ask any of the doctors he has met.

Although his visor helps him improve the vision in his bad optic quite a bit, he also feels slightly insecure about his optic being a different colour from the other one, especially since it's purple (he's grateful that at least it wasn't red). So, apart from the fact that the visor compensates a little for his bad optic, it gives him a tremendous confidence boost. That's why he prefers not to take it off.

Second Headcanon: Swerve has naturally tired optics, even when he smiles. The only time his optics don't look tired is when he's surprised. Because his optics are like that, on the rare occasions when he was quiet (and without his visor), the other bots thought he was upset or something like that, asking Swerve what was wrong (some more out of hypocrisy and gossip than anything else). So Swerve stopped walking around without his visor when his optics hurt too much. And since most of the bots who knew about Swerve's different-coloured optics before entering the Lost Light are offline, no one currently knows whether Swerve was forged with the visor attached to his faceplate or whether it can be removed, or even if he has optics at all.

It's getting dark, the forest has an exit to the railroad tracks, and it was just Mo, Thrash, Spitfire and Aftermath here at the farm with him. He said he wouldn't be long, and just look, it's been two hours and no sign of him. No Comms, no messages. Absolutely nothing" Robby listed, with four of his fingers "As far as I'm concerned. He ran away" Robby folded his arms, his brow furrowed.

Spitfire and Aftermath hadn't stopped when Robby began to speak, but now they did, Aftermath slowly turned his helm and glared at the small human "Yeah, as far as you're concerned. Doesn't mean you're right. You don't know what you're talking about" Aftermath pointed with his digit, angry at Robby's accusation.

Spitfire nodded, her optics narrowed "Besides, how would he remove the stasis cuffs if he doesn't have the key? Did you even think of that?" Spitfire pointed out, clenching her servos into fists.

Robby hummed quietly, averting his gaze as he tilted his head. Seconds passed, the dugout melting into a tense silence that no one was willing to break. Even though there wasn't much need anyway.

"It's Starscream" he said laconically "He'll figure something out to get away with it" Robby said seriously, the gravity in his voice clear.

Spitfire stood still. Her servos slackened, with subtle sporadic movements. Her optics were fixed on Robby, eerily open, as if he young boy had said something that automatically put him at a disadvantage.

"Oh... Just like you got away with Bumblebee?" Spitfire tilted her helm with mock innocence. And she couldn't help but crack a smile —a predatory one— when Robby visibly tensed.

A few days ago I read a fanfic that combined Insidious and Saw I-Saw II, in which Jigsaw trapped Elise alone in the bathroom trap. Well, not really, because when Elise first woke up she heard Adam talking to her. Even though Adam couldn't believe anyone could see him (bcs he's dead, and a ghost). And I see the vision, because Specs (Insidious) and Adam share the same actor, so I can sort of see how it came about. But back to the topic. I LOVE that fanfic, with a burning passion. And damn, I didn't know I needed Elise and Adam to interact together, THEY ARE SO CUTE, I see their relationship as a super cute grandmother-grandson one, AND ELISE EVEN GAVE HER CARDIGAN TO ADAM'S BODY SO HE'D HAVE SOMETHING LIKE A BURIAL, AND I SCREAMED BECAUSE UUUUUUIGHQUEIWIUQIQUEUW ADAM DESERVES THE FUCKING WORLD MAN.

Anyway, I didn't come to talk to you about that (in fact, in part, please read that fanfic, it's super good, it appears almost first in the Ghost Adam tag in Ao3) I just came to explain my thought process behind

I think this is also because I've been listening to Wishing's "Good Night Dad, I Love You" on loop about fifty times now. And I feel like the "song" (Because it's a nostalgic melody without lyrics that makes me want to pull my hair out) it suits Starscream, Warp, TC and Jetfire from my AU too well because the last three see Starscream as a caretaker, a babysitter, a Sempu, a friend, a brother, a father. All in one, and that makes me feel really bad for some reason (but the good bad, you know what I mean? It makes my stomach turn and makes me want to cry because they are so cute)
