The Doctor and the Master give me 100% Divorced Vibes in the "they got divorced because they realized they actually kind of hate each other and also bring out the absolute worst in each other" way.

Like, do I ship them? Absolutely not. But do I think they were previously totally married? Absolutely. Someone should totally write a fanfic about how their relationship fell apart originally.

Can I also see some pretty clear parallels between the master + the doctor and clara + the doctor? Also yes.

(It IS slightly different for them because the Master is Insane Evil and Clara is just run of the mill generally mentally ill but otherwise fairly kind, and both of these aspects are ones the doctor takes on more when they're around them)

Leverage season finale: masterclass in acting. Subtly playing with lighting to tell a story. something feels Wrong but youre not sure what until you realize everything was. Subtle. Everything comes together at the end. Great complicated storyline. Genuinely thought she might do it. Keeps character completely consistent despite the dramatized noir genre.

Doctor who season finale: mythbusters-ass episode. Like flinging cars off a cliff. Why are cars being flung off cliff? Who knows. Everything feels Wrong because it is and its never explained. Sexism and racism that are not surprising coming from a white gay man.

Anything goes there but everyone's just like no. Santos is hella gay. Despite the fact that it isn't *technically* canon (in the "explicitly out loud" sense, not in the "its not obvious" sense, because it is)
