LOL, I’m so confused. So in VKM chapter 27, Yuki suggests self-isolating the vampire population from the human population and everyone gets mad and revolts. Her daughter Ai pretend-accuses her of betraying them and takes over as head of Kuran. Then the vampires proceed to do exactly what Yuki, the “real enemy”, suggested?? Have I missed something here?

My second (and last) post on possible Vampire Knight couples. This one is more of a what-if/could-have-been.

In one chapter, Hanabusa and Takuma are talking about Takuma being alone. Then Takuma mentions in passing that he had an arranged marriage before:

The arrangement was by his deceased grandfather, so it’s understandable that it fell to the wayside. However, Takuma also gives us some hints, both verbal and in his thought boxes:

The previously arranged partner who is happy with his “irreplaceable friend”? It’s pretty clear who it is if you look in the last panel, where he overlooks Yuki talking to Sayori in the distance.

And finally, in a previous chapter, Sayori’s father narrates:

So the arrangement had been between Takuma and Sayori! This puts some things in new light, such as the fact that Sayori’s dad had knowingly arranged a marriage for her with a vampire?! Also, this comment which was previously just teasing Hanabusa:

So there’s been speculation on Ai’s possible romantic connections and I’d like to throw my hat in the ring. Haven’t seen this around, but let me know if it’s been done. Here goes:

This is Seiya Aido:

He grew up under the guidance and friendship of Ai, and came to admire her greatly. Or at the very least, became v. close friends, including offering up his blood to her multiple times:

And finally, a blink-and-you-miss-it pic found in Kaien’s scrapbook. It shows a pic of Ai looking adorable, next to Seiya. Seiya is wearing a very fancy suit and holding a triumphant fist aloft. Perhaps because he finally landed the girl of his dreams?
