Going from watching a couple light modern dramas in a row to a costume drama is brutal 😣 I have to *constantly* have my eyes glued to the subtitles cause they can break out into flowery language at any second. For fluffy modern dramas, I can get away with sewing while only looking at the screen half the time.

Just an fyi: chinese language shows, like shows in all languages, vary in quality. There's shows in Chinese of all quality levels, in all genres. Go to mydramalist.com and browse genres you tend to watch. You'll probably find something in Chinese you might like.
