When I say I love enemies-to-lovers trope, I mean misunderstanding someone because you didn't know someone so now you know them and you fall in love with them. Not falling for someone who did the worst possible thing to you and physically or mentally destroyed you.

REALISM IN FICTION – A LIST OF LITTLE DETAILS TO MAKE YOUR CHARACTER REALISTIC [PART 2]
And here’s another list! Since my previous list of little details has been loved a lot during this past year on Tumblr, I thought I should add some more pointers to it. So here you go: add these traits and characteristics to make your babies more real through the pages.
Haven’t watched Game of Thrones. Wait, stop planning the character’s death already! It’s fine, respect their indecency and absolute ignorance toward such trivial issues like who’s going to sit on the throne.
Is a beauty experimenter, i.e., tries new products and home remedies and what not.
Hates rough elbows.
Has a fetish for toes. I know, eww, but tell that to your character.
Keeps scraping off their nail polish.
Frequently looks at their left because their right frame of the face is gorgeous, or vice versa.
Starts something only at a time that is a multiple of 5 (4.00 > 4.05 > 4.10 > 4.15 > etc etc), or waits to start something at that time and never actually starts.
Keeps playing with that one ring they’ve worn for years.
Is an organizational person.
Measures everything they eat.
Writes to-do lists and loves the blissful experience of crossing off things on it.
Increase in pitch of the voice when they’re excited or happy.
Watches a lot of inspirational videos.
Plucks flowers whenever they see a pretty one.
Has a monotonous expression majority of the time. Yours truly is super guilty of this!
Talks a lot about spirituality.
Is a Marvel or DC fan (no they can’t be a fan of both. )
Laughs so hard that tears spill.

WHY HAPPINESS CAN LEAD YOU TO PEACE
In this chaotic lifestyle, we keep wondering what peace would feel like. Is it all about silencing your mind and muting your thoughts? Is peace somehow related to silence? Maybe. But maybe not.
Maybe peace is related to the happy chaos.
What is happy chaos?
There are two types of chaos. One, the chaotic chaos that we experience almost every day in our lives and for the majority of the day. This is the type that segments from the stress, pressure, and the fear of no-time-left that we build up every day. Chaotic chaos is the bad type if you can’t already figure that out.
Then there’s happy chaos.
Happy chaos is a state of chaos that doesn’t feel like chaos.
Yes, too much repetitiveness in just one sentence but sometimes repetitiveness is good. Like being repeatedly happy is good! Happy chaos is what you experience sometimes but when you do, you remember and reminisce it like ‘the good times’.
This is the type of chaos that a sudden birthday surprise you receive from all your loved ones would garner--your house is packed with people happy for you and with you, people chattering and moving around while having an amazing time at your house. Even though you know you’ll be doomed in the morning when it comes to cleaning up all the mess, you don’t give a shit. Because you’re happy!
And that’s exactly how happiness is connected to peace.
A happy heart and mind wouldn’t consider chaos as the chaotic chaos but as the happy chaos. Finishing an assignment with a happy mind will feel much less of a chore because your mind can’t resonate with how ‘difficult or boring’ the assignment is.
Your happiness is like a blindfold on your mind.
Of course, nobody can be happy all the time. There are times when someone feels low and that’s perfectly normal because we’re humans, not synthesized beings. But it’s necessary to try being happy for the times when you aren’t brewing other emotions.
Try to bring a smile to your face, try to simply chuckle at the workload sitting at your desk, try to laugh at yourself for procrastinating, try to remember the good times so you can make this one a ‘good time’ too.
I’m not sure if doing this would help your productivity but I’m sure it would help you feel a sense of calm and inner-peace that everyone tries to find in other external factors when it’s right inside you and ready to be felt through happiness.

THE THREE STAGES OF A YEARLY READING GOAL
Fanna’s back at it with a reading discussion even though this isn’t a discussion post–it’s a post for us reading goal-setters to collectively feel the guilt. Wondering what guilt I’m talking about? Oh, don’t try to act innocent! We all know what the fate of a reading goal is and who’s responsible for that fate. *intently looks at you.*
Stage 1: Excitement to accomplish the goal.
Stage one is definitely the best phase. It’s filled with hearts and thumbs-up(s) that you receive in the comments to your reading-goal posts/TBRs. It’s the initial excitement that everyone feels at the start of a new relationship; much like the start of a commitment to ‘reading more’, ‘reading daily’, ‘reading monthly’, and other such false promises.
This phase lasts for the first four months when the goal-setter easily moves on from the previous failures and walks into the fresh start of January, the romance-filled air of February, the light breezes of March, and the colorful vibes of April, only to realize they haven’t actually read because they were busy ‘walking’ and actually ‘talking’ about their goals.
The year has just started! I have the ENTIRE year to read (insert a number almost approximating to infinity) books.
- Every. Reader. Ever
Stage 2: Wait, what? I have a goal to accomplish?
This is the stage of blissful ignorance. It’s the time when closing your eyes to the commitments make it easier to live life to the fullest. Because there’s a perfect balance of guilt from the past four months and hope in the next four months. No one mentions anything regarding a reading goal in this stage–not even those who had left hearts and thumbs-up(s) in the comment section.
This phase lasts for four months too (if you couldn’t already do the calculations) and is characterized by the goal-setter doing any and everything that pulls them further away from their reading goal.
Some daydream about the book boyfriends when they should be reading about them.
Some watch the movie adaptations of books they were supposed to read.
Some anticipate the new releases while their backlist books disappointedly stare at them.
Some do pick up a book but then wonder how to read.
Stage 3: Oh, I have a goal to accomplish! Alas, there’s no time left.
The last and final stage is marked by the sudden surge of emotions and memories from the past since the commitment–reading goal– starts flashing everywhere, thanks to some amazing readers who accomplished their goals before time. These amazing readers are usually those who had left hearts and thumbs-up in the comment section.
This phase lasts for three months because November becomes the last ray of hope. December 1st marks the beginning of another small term phase called ‘using your failures as content for the blog’. The goal-setter now, suddenly, not only knows how to read but also how to write and uses words like ‘alas’.
December 31st marks the end of this vicious cycle, only for it to start all over again.
Disclaimer: This post doesn’t intend to look down upon anyone who hasn’t achieved their reading goals but is merely a fun take on my own disappointed reading goals. The inspiration for this post was my own 2018 reading goal on Goodreads. Instagram | Twitter | Tumblr

//“My greatest wish for humanity is not for peace or comfort or joy. It is that we all still die a little inside every time we witness the death of another. For only the pain of empathy will keep us human. There’s no version of God that can help us if we ever lose that.” -Scythe, Neal Shusterman// This is definitely my favorite quote from the book since humanity is such an important deal for me. If you aren't humane, then what are you? Like, that's what our species is named after. instagram | blog

Hi, I really like your blog and I was wondering if I could get some advice. I want to start writing fics on my blog but I don't know how to plan one. Like should I take an idea and divide more or less what I would write into different parts? Like what? I'm sorry I'm just really confused and curious. I'd really appreciate the help!
Ahhh first off, thank you so much! I’m glad you still enjoy my blog even though I haven’t posted much recently. Second, I’m honored you came to me for help! I have a few tips I can share with you but if you need any more help please feel free to message me!!
First off, decide how long your fic is going to be. Don’t feel obligated to write a series right away, try out a few drabbles, maybe a one shot or two and then you can decide if you want to plan out a series.
Types of Fics:
Drabble - Under 500 words. A nice short story.
One-shot - Over 500 words, a plot that can be explained in one chapter. There’s no such thing as ‘too long’ of a one-shot. I’ve seen some upwards of 15000 words so don’t be afraid of making them long! Just make sure to use the ‘keep reading’ feature if you’re writing over 500 words.
Series - Each part is over 500 words and there are multiple parts. A series can be as many parts as you want whether that be 2 or 200.
Series Tips:
There are multiple ways you can write a series.
You can write out the entire story and then cut it into parts however you please.
You can write each chapter individually.
In my one and only series on this blog, I wrote each chapter in parts. It was the first fic I ever posted on Tumblr and it overwhelmed me a lot. I didn’t have the plot planned out and I just kind of went along with what was in my head. I would highly suggest putting a lot of thought into a series and planning out what you want to happen in each chapter before you write it. If you plan to go the other route (writing the whole thing first and then splitting it) you don’t have to worry as much.
I really hope these tips help you and if you do post any writing please tag me!! If you need any more help please feel free to message me <3 I wish you the best of luck <3

I realize that everyone has different preferences, but if you are a writer that posts your work on tumblr, you should carefully consider the color contrast/text size of your theme.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve been excited to read something, only to click a read more and be met with text for ants and/or a highlighter or pastel color scheme. I have good eyesight, but imagine if your readers are colorblind or low vision. There are accessibility tools they could use, but wouldn’t you rather make it as easy as possible for readers to consume your content?
Think Ao3. Vox. Medium. Almost any popular, text-heavy site.
What do you see? High color contrast (usually black text on white background), LARGE body text, at least 16px MINIMUM. I realize that black and white can also cause eye strain with certain people, but at least it’s a start.
Have a quirky, design-y blog, but if you write, please think of the ones who may struggle reading the writing you’ve worked so hard to create. At the very least, always crosspost to ao3 where users can apply skins to make it easier to read.
But En, I don’t know much about design or user accessibility! Help!
Tumblr themes that are good for text
tumblr theme that is built for accessibility
Start here, do a little googling! You’ll learn something, and your readers will thank you for it.
