the same people that keep insisting that nathan is a h*mophobe after he promptly apologized for an answer that was evidently badly worded than malicious are the same people that likely love javier fernandez who made h*mophobic comments a couple years back (sochi i think?) too. javi also apologized and this is completely shrugged off by everyone even though it very much still happened. “enough of this whataboutism” it’s not? they should be held at the same standard. just admit that you haters were already waiting for nate to mess up to justify the already irrational and disgusting hatred you’ve had for him this past quad. you can be angry about isu’s corrupt ass and be a decent person to the skater that gets bonuses from it, since the scores are out of their control. 

if anyone is curious about his comments please do not turn to twitter because you are likely only gonna get gaslighted by the fans there. paola la on youtube is pretty much the only big account out there that discussed this without any sort of bias. and about the nfts? i don’t believe there was ever a reliable source about it.

also, math is math y’all - even if nathan was scored a whole ten points lower in pcs he still would’ve won gold. his technical score is *insane* and was well above everyone else in that competition (not to mention that a handful of other podium contenders made costly mistakes), so that was the clear advantage - not simply the fact that he “has a nice passport.” that being said, CONGRATULATIONS TO NATHAN CHEN 🥇
