My favorite part of parenting SO FAR is being able to say “she gets that from you” with like complete certainty. And not in that like annoying way that I see in sitcoms, like my husband last night was like “I love when she hears you say something, and she squints her eyes real tiny and tries to repeat it and then goes…wait, what did you say, and cocks her head to the side” and I was like my man…she nicked that DIRECTLY from your DNA sequencing, and literally without thinking, squinted his eyes and me and cocked his head and then REALIZED what he was doing and started laughing. Just 10/10 experience in parenting.
