while coming further the forest he mindlessly went to from that motel, sunghoon sensed something. someone. that energy was familiar, even the brief touch of that warm aura got the demon chuckle faintly under his nose. it was you. but the thought of you being deep in the woods at night planted a seed of something like worry inside sunghoon’s chest.

sunghoon pushed away annoying branches that were dangling from the tall threes, making his way deeper the path. there were you, sitting on the small field of grass, your back and big white wings were facing him.

today sunghoon couldn’t find peace — some unknown feeling kept sparkling up deep inside his chest. he even thought for a brief second that his blood began flowing through his veins once again, as if the skies had mercy on his pitiful being, giving him his life back after ninety years.

while sitting at his desk, scribbling words down on paper — sketch of another article for the newspaper — sunghoon sensed that even the forest he lived in was strangely noisy today. birds sang louder, wind blew harder and river ran faster — even if those changes were in their slightest, the man still could tell the difference.

“something definitely isn’t right.” he mumbled under his nose, turning his head towards the window.

sunghoon, eventually, left the fountain pen on his desk, getting up from the chair. he started to the small hall, his steps heavy, wooden floor creaked under his feet. with a swift motion sunghoon grabbed his long coat, throwing it on before he left his house.

first few minutes of wandering around the forest and sunghoon now was standing in the middle of an empty field surrounded with tall trees. vampier’s eyes were glued to a fragile figure not so far from him — an angel. but her wings were as dark as the night.
