Wouldn’t it be so ironic for seers to have issues with their vision due to how strong their magic is. Morgan wearing glasses from a young age because his visions kept interfering with his day to day to the point it weakened his eye muscles. Him have to be careful in the sun because he’s so sensitive to too much light or when he has vision he needs to cover his eyes to give them respite from an overload of information. Having a power so extraordinary that your body cannot handle it at times leaving you feeling cursed with the very thing you’ve been blessed with

somi khan. eldest by three years. was so excited to have a baby brother, and that feeling stayed his whole life. a lot of the time, wherever somi went, so did omen - even when somi’s friends questioned why his kid brother was always around, somi would just affectionately call him his shadow, ruffle his hair, and move on.

somi had the typical “eldest child” role of being the one their parents had the highest expectations for. he struggled with the weight of it all, the schoolwork and the extracurriculars and the responsibilities, but he always made time to fool around with omen.

while omen had friends his age, somi was the one he went to about anything and everything. he helped omen with his homework, took him to school when he’d oversleep, they want to see new movies together, helped him sort out his sexuality crisis & was working on the gender crisis, was the only one who didn’t immediately dismiss omen when he started talking about his visions (he didn’t believe them, but he didn’t think omen was crazy. he just thought they were dreams stemming from a fear of death, potentially due to a grandparent or something dying around the same time). anyway, he always tried to be the best big brother he could be and as a result, he was omen’s best friend.

i think. he wanted to major in botany when he went to college 💭 <- just made this up on the spot. i think somi being good with plants and omen being good with computers is a really fun .. contrast?? idk the word. but anyways. somi did a lot of different things, but his passion was botany. he spent a lot of time outside in the garden and tried multiple times to get omen to join him, but omen does not have a green thumb and wasn’t interested in sitting outside for long periods of time digging in the dirt when he could’ve been riding his bike or playing a video game.

somi was funny, ambitious to a fault, likely a people-pleaser (or at least a parent-pleaser), maybe a little reckless sometimes, could lie surprisingly well (covered omen’s ass a few times this way), arrogant wrt his own intelligence, a role model, a loving brother and best friend. and he’s the reason omen is who he is, both the good and bad parts.

A trope that gets to me: 'guard dog' character and their partner who are both fully aware of it and honestly don't care/kind of like it. Someone says "call your guard dog off" and their partner does call them off. That person, their 'guard dog', is someone who is unreservedly, irrefutably loyal to them. Someone undoubtedly dangerous who is willing to kill, to maim, to obey, simply because of their love for one another. There's no manipulation involved— it is loyalty, brutal, dogged loyalty. And it goes both ways.

oc halloween thoughts 🎃👻

➤ adara: easily spooked so she’s not the biggest fan, but she’ll play scary games during october for chat and dress up for them! sugar definitely gets her wrapped up in it eventually, but until then she’s kind of whatever about it

➤ sugar: huge fan but only for the actual scary parts of it bc they’re really big into horror media in all forms. dresses as sadako every year for halloween events and is really passionate when correcting people who call them “that girl from dead by daylight” (it’s one of the few things that make them break character)

➤ omen: LOVES IT. loves it all!! the cheap costumes, the bad horror movies, the spirit halloween animatronics, the slashers, the psychological thrillers, literally everything. hands out candy to kids dressed as something silly so he doesn’t scare them. he’s decorating mid-september bc he doesn’t have anyone who will stop him and he likes going big for holidays

➤ veronica (cutie): insert sexy from the mean girls musical here. halloween is an opportunity for vee to party it up while looking hot as hell, so she loves it. they could do without the horror movies and the scarefests though

➤ jules (bestie): watched the exorcist waaay too young and it affected their whole life LOL they love halloween but they’re kinda weird about it. like people who leave christmas trees/lights up all year except they’ve got, like, a webbed-up skeleton that sits on their porch and a bathroom that looks like a crime scene
