It was not rare for people to plead for mercy or a second chance. Death could come unexpected to some, and it was quite natural to fight against it at first. It did not doom people to Wolf's teeth as much as that part of death wished it to be so. Lamb often offered her arrow more than once, more so in situations like this. A fine mess, one that delighted the blood hungry wolf but left Lamb cold like usual. They had seen so many ways to die that only a few managed to stick out to them anymore.

There was no getting around dying for Silco, his body too far gone to recover from this. The hunters granting him last words before ending his life. Though, like some spirits before him, Silco did not give up even in death. Wanting a way back to finish what he had started and to see the ones dear to him once again. Kindred sensing his determination offered a trial, one they had offered to others before. Less than a handful had ever passed.

Most gave up, accepting that their life was over and coming to terms with it. Those who pushed through, all had goals they still wanted to reach and an amount of determination that impressed even the hunters. Silco seemed to be one of these people, passing the trial and earning himself the chance of second life.

"You passed our trial" Lamb said, a hint of surprise in her usually emotionless voice. "Impressive" "Seems like you really had something else to fight for still" Wolf seemed more clam than usual. Not being in the martial realm often subduing his hunger just a little. "We do not break promises we make, as such we will grant you the chance of another life" "But you don't get it just yet"

"We need to know a few things first, you do not need to answer right now, but you will need to if you wish to return to life" Lamb explained. "Tell me Silco, what is it that drives you so much? What will you do with this second chance? How will it differ from the first?"

It was eerily quiet in the streets, too quiet even for it being late. To the hunters, that quiet was the sign that their hunt had come to an end. Their mark laid dead by their feet, a single ethereal arrow piercing their chest. A boring hunt for Wolf, as clearly this person had accepted death.

Kindred were about to take their leave when Wolf perked up sniffing the air. "I can smell somebody else" moving from Lambs side towards whoever he was smelling. "I've smelt that scent before, faintly" "You do not need to hide" Lamb called out somehow looking in the right direction.

"We are not here for you" her tone cool and calm like always as Wolf still seemed to search around. "You came to us this time, though not like the times you tried before" it was eerie to say the least how even without directly seeing Jinx the hunters still knew who she was. "This is a meeting by chance" "Unless you want it to be something else"

Resurrection part 2

Part 1

Once all tests are passed and Kindred agrees that the person is worthy of being brought back, the resurrection can happen at any time. If they are bringing somebody back as a favor to somebody living, it will happen with them present at a time they choose. Otherwise, the soul itself can choose when it will be brought back. Kindred can bring people back at most every place, but usually doesn't move a person from where they came from or died.

The process itself is quick and pain free, though probably quite strange for anyone going through it. Their body is restored to how it was before death came for them. So while what killed them will not be present, any injuries from before that will still be there. Depending on how they died, there might also be some scars. It would be a waste of their powers if they had to come back for this person soon, so they do make sure they are in a livable state.

After everything is done, they will take their leave, maybe checking in on the person in a few years if they want to. They of course know this person more than others they have taken, but Kindred does not get attached to people. This is often very transactional for them, in the end they will be back to claim that person once more.

Resurrection part. 1

Kindred considers resurrection cheating them, it doesn't matter if you wanted to be resurrected or not. They are more lenient on people that got brought back without their own knowledge. If somebody had a hand in their own resurrection, then they are angered. Though they rarely go out of their way to hunt down even people like that, there will be consequences for cheating death.

That is, unless you were resurrected by them.

While extremely rare, Kindred can not just spare a live at the moment they were supposed to die, but also bring them back after. It is not something they do lightly and extremely rare, but it can happen. There are many different reasons why a person would be chosen for this. But there are two very different ways how it could start.

Somebody still alive earned a favor with Kindred How they earned that favor rarely matters, usually their repayment comes in the form of their protection one time only. But sometimes they offer to bring a person back instead. How they decide this is their secret.

The dead person earned a chance This is much rarer than the first, but some people even while dead manage to impress them.

Though, no matter if it's from somebody still living or the dead person themselves, there are rules that need to be followed. Not everyone can be brought back after all. These rules are set by Kindred themselves and include:

Be taken by them Dying by Lambs arrow does make it more likely that you would be considered for this, but while more rare, even people that chose wolf sometimes get the honor. Though if you believe in a different god of death and never met them then you are out of luck. Even if it was a spirit under Kindred.

Died too soon While technically they can bring back anyone they choose, they will not waste their power on somebody that would die too soon after. So a person that died of old age will not be brought back.

Pass your tests Every person that they let come back to live needs to pass some tests. What they are can vary, but to Kindred they always serve the purpose of seeing if the person is really worthy of this second chance.

Have a good reason to live What is considered a good reason? Kindred will not let you know that, but they will ask for at least one and judge you on your answer.

Now, the last two rules work a little different when somebody alive wishes you back. While the first two are set in stone, the others are more free to be bent and played with. Kindred will still test the person and question them, but they are more lenient on these souls. Importantly, they do let people decide if they want to be brought back, some preferring death.

Very few people met death before their time was up, those who did often carry that memory to their actual final day. But meeting the eternal hunters when it was your time and living was never heard of. Probably because all that were graced by a second chance from Wolf or Lamb knew better than to tell. The reason for being spared remained obscure to some, while for others it was quite clear. Having the eyes of death on you could be motivating and paralyzing all the same.

Which was why the two hunters sometimes checked in with those they had spared. A visit that to some was quite unnerving, the perceived threat of the granted live being taken back playing in some of their minds. Others meanwhile welcomed the two, Kindred themselves enjoyed both reactions for different reasons.

"It's been a while" as always, Lamb had waited until the person they were visiting was alone to speak. Her voice being accompanied by a chill that anyone who met them before would recognize. "Enough time to enjoy the life we gave you" "I hope you are not wasting it!" Wolf as always being by Lambs side being the more excitable of the two.

"You smell different" he remarked after sniffing the air around Cait. "Well dear Wolf, meeting us often leads people to change"

"Lamb look! This one... What is this one" The gruff voice of wolf seeming to ripping through the quiet that had been there before. The white mask of wolf soon appearing, seeming perplexed by Gewn. "Is this one alive?" getting uncomfortably close to the doll before snapping back seemingly into a random direction, though soon his glowing pairs of eyes were joined by another.

"Why don't you ask her?" Lambs voice came as clam as ever though as her body fully materialized so did her bow. One hand on the string ready to draw and shoot at any time. "She reeks of that place" Wolf growled, "I know" if the two were curious or agitated was hard to tell. "What are you?" "Who are you?" both hunters asked, one after the other.

Arcane spoilers/ Thoughts

So heads up I basically only watched clips and was told about what happens because I am terrible at watching shows BUT.

Jinx is alive 100% she is either fully leaving Zaun for a while in the airship we see (call back to season 1) or she will just be in hiding. Before the explosion you see a pink streak rushing away like Jinx on shimmer and with how Cait reacted later you can just tell that she is still around.

Also, that Ambessa that died is a clone from Leblanc for sure. If we get another series, it will be in Noxus, and we will see her again.

"You have worn many faces" a soft voice broke through the quiet of the Matron's office. A chill accompanying the for now faceless voice. Though, those who knew tales of the eternal hunters could guess who was the cause of this. "More faces than we have masks" a far more aggressive and gruff voice went on as two golden orbs seemed to float around the room. Another pair seeming dormant just at the entrance, both gazing at Leblanc.

Soon the orbs were encased by masks, then full bodies as Lamb and Wolf took form. Even in Noxus where her more violent companion was favored, the Lamb was still by his side. Both cladded in gold, black and red, one of the forms the hunters took. "Many names too" "This one doesn't even use hers" Wolf snarled. "Why not mage? Why do you hide away?" "It won't save you from us" while their words could be interoperated as threats, the hunters for now had not shown an indication of being here for blood.

One could stumble across a lot of things when walking around. Places that clearly had some significance at one time now in ruin, often having a draw to the living. Some just came to look others to explore, though this specific place was unlike most others. Most stayed clear, saying there was something ominous around. Which was quite true, but legends and stories did not keep everyone away.

"I hear footsteps" Wolf's harsh voice broke the eerie silence of the place, "We have a visitor" came the other voice of the hunters. A chill running in the air enough to make even the bravest man and woman shiver. "Can I chase it?" as the voices became more clear so did the hunter's masks and then bodies. Anyone knowing who they were would know they were in the company of death.

"You don't even know his name" Lambs gaze falling onto the one that had approached her, bow by her side. "What's your name, then? Can you run fast?" Wolf's body lacking legs moving from Lambs side circling whoever had been unlucky enough to come face to face with Kindred.
