What a sweetheart. Shadow knew that was exactly how Sonic worked no matter the dimension, but it was still touching to hear that he worried regardless. He just wished that he wouldn't waste his energy on a clearly futile situation, and instead focused primarily on his own happier life.

Regardless, he smiled wider at the other's response to his compliments, both at his sincere return of them and how clearly flustered by them he was.

Bless me? Oh, I'm just stating the truth. All I can do given that I'm stuck down here. You definitely didn't seem like the type to settle down in my zone. It was a big reason why I stayed a sort of secret admirer of sorts - I didn't want you, or the 'you' of here anyway, to feel pressured by how I felt. Ah, I might not have told you all about that either. I've forgotten who I've told what. Have I even mentioned my name?

Starlight had to take a moment to work over how to respond to such kind comments. His eyes closed for a moment to help concentrate better, a smile was on his muzzle. This stranger was really kind, all he could hope for was that this person would be okay.

After reading the reply over again however, he blushed a soft pink when he saw they had called him cute. Damn, another person who thought he was cute.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I meant it as a sincere compliment, but I don't have to say anything like that if it makes you uncomfortable.

Of course, if Shadow really thought about it, it made sense. For some reason, females attracted a lot of unwanted attention of that nature -- and Shadow wasn't going to wittingly continue that trend.
