Questioning Sentences, Vol. 49
(Questioning sentences from various sources to ask all kinds of muses. Adjust phrasing where needed)
"Why do you assume that when I'm upset, I'm upset with you?"
"Do you think you can behave yourself this time?"
"Would you walk with me?"
"You're going to steal that car? In broad daylight?"
"How is it that you're always three steps ahead of everybody everywhere you go?"
"Would we have even more fun naked?"
"Loss. It's a terrible thing, isn't it?"
"Are you accusing me of being a fake blonde?"
"Why do you want to kill me so badly?"
"I hope there's a story to go with that face?"
"I thought I was too pretty for you?"
"I don't suppose you know the best way to get blood stains out of a carpet?"
"Who the hell are you to judge me?"
"Is there any chance that you and me don't end up in blood?"
"This may be a silly question, but do you have a plan?"
"Do you love me?"
"What goes through your mind when you lie to me?"
"Can I ask you a question? Are you following me?"
"You said you liked to back the winning side?"
"Are we going to argue?"
"What makes you think you wouldn't pass a psych evaluation?"
"How much longer do we have have to wait?"
"Am I allowed to ask who you're protecting me from?"
"Do you mind being a little late to work?"
"As long as you have known me, have I ever been the kind to play dumb?"
"Is she in love with you yet?"
"Have I taught you to make assumptions?"
"Did anyone think to pack any vodka?"
"Are you wearing pants right now?"

Vivec smiles, a bit mischievously.
With a flourish they remove the top lid, revealing a small flurry of bronze butterflies.
There were six in total, each made of bronze, and each with a different gem color in its wings. Two were emerald, two were diamond, and two were ruby.
“If you’d like to take them out to the garden, I’ll show you their real beauty.”
“Cronus?” Vivec’s voice was soft as she turned a corner, stopping across the way.
“I brought you something I thought might cheer you up, if you’d like some company.”
"C-come in, old friend, come in." Cronus called out, quickly wiping his face. He plastered on a smile, entering the room with a wide sweep of his arms,
"My, you look lovely today!" Cronus said, his eyes still red and swollen from crying. He forgot to illusion them.

“As do you, my lord.” And she means it, too. Cronus was beautiful and fiercely handsome on a good day, but there was something about seeing him do such a mortal thing as cry that really accentuated his ethereal qualities.
She approaches a bit cautiously, but not fearfully, a small box wrapped in golden paper clutched in her mismatched hands.
“I know how much you like your gardens, and they’re beautiful! But they’re missing just one thing.”
“Cronus?” Vivec’s voice was soft as she turned a corner, stopping across the way.
“I brought you something I thought might cheer you up, if you’d like some company.”

“Grey Quarter? Can’t say I’ve heard of that, but I’ve only visited Windhelm once myself. Not very fond of the snow and ice.”
He hesitates a moment before finally setting the basket down on the nearest available surface, a clean spot on a nearby table. “Of course, with this tenuous alliance between our northerly neighbors, sacrifices must be made.” Relius frowns, his face a bit sour around the edges. “I hear you’re from Skyrim yourself, yes?”
To think that someone could just appear in the Clockwork City, potentially from another time all together? It was fascinating, and as much as he longed to ask the girl a hundred different questions, he didn’t wish to send her running in he other direction.
Still, this was the first one on one with a living person Relius has had in a long time, besides with fellow priests of course. “Well, nonetheless hopefully you can adjust until we can figure out a way to send you on your way.”
The Clockwork Apostles are a dry, crass bunch. Arch-Canon Relius perhaps the driest of the lot, but that didn’t mean he didn’t care about the inhabitants of the City..mostly, anyways.
He’d heard of the new arrival from Lord Seht himself, and had made his way down to meet her; though finding the time had been finicky.
Holding a basket in both hands, laden with a variety of food and comforts, some Sujamma included, he knocks at the brass door before opening it himself, not waiting to be let in. “I apologize it took so long, but I’ve got some things for you here. Aelith, right?”
@father-of-mysteries
She’d been there a few days now, her neighbours proving to be truly kind with how they’d helped her settle in, bringing her essentials on top of what had already been provided. Her quarters weren’t too dissimilar from her home back in Markarth, all that were missing were her trinkets and little familiar items she took comfort in, maybe she could find some new ones here to make it feel a little less barren.
Her kitchen was well stocked and a few of the apostles had dropped by to help her find some clothing beyond the two changes she had in her pack, taking the time to show her the routes to places she’d need like the market and temple.
The knock at the door and the following creak of the hinges had her venturing from the research area she’d been setting up in a corner of the main room of the house, smiling warmly at the new face.
“That’s right, Aelith Storm-caller. Forgive me I haven’t had the opportunity to introduce myself, I’m just about comfortable finding my way to the market right now.”
She grins, crossing to him, eyeing the basket he carries.
“Are those for me? They look wonderful. Is that sujamma? I haven’t had that since I found myself in Windhelm in the Grey quarter a few months back, I think. Time is a little hard to gauge here.”

Kat found an obnoxiously massive mudcrab. so of course she's brought it to show off. Behold, a wild and rather annoyed Mudcrab the size of a boar causing chaos while Kat sits, tail wagging, watching the chaos unfold.
Mournhold was a beautiful city, vast and densely populated, as any capital city was. And yet, the word of a giant mud crab wandering the bazaar spread like wildfire.
A few folks still circled the beast, though they kept a safe distance, awed and confused. And yet, when the Silver Hand, Almalexia’s personal guards, arrived they did not disperse.
A few whispered a name, Skars, and yet no one seemed sure this beast was the same. The emperor mud crab had been killed long ago!
One guard’s eyes shift past the beast, landing directly on Kat’s mischievous face.
“You! Beast! Explain yourself!

— Sotha Sil is finally smiling (and there’s no overload of red in the background 😅)
I made myself draw him happy in the rain (I don’t remember — does he actually like rain? Or is that just my headcanon?). Anyway, here’s a quick sketch for you.

“I thought I told you I wasn’t going.”
“Hm?”
Vivec’s head tilts curiously at Sotha Sil’s greeting, and then she smiles. “Oh, this isn’t about the party, don’t worry about that. You alright? Heard you’re a little on edge.”
Sil takes a breath, steam all but radiating off him in his irritation.
“I appreciate the gesture, but I’m fine.”
Vivec says nothing, only lingering in the door until Sotha Sil finally turns to face her.
“Why are you here?” He grumble, removing his mask and setting his tools aside to finally approach the other god. “It’s like you read my mind and taunt it over me.”
“Haha, I’m not taunting, brother! How can I help? Anything at all!”
“….”
Sil hesitates a moment as she opens her arms as if for a hug. He settles for something just short of one.
“Hold a light?”
“Done!”

A heavy leaded pencil snaps in the Clockwork God’s hand and he’s finally had enough.
With a huff of irritation, the snapped pencil is tossed across the room, vaguely in the direction of a wastebasket, but missing by a considerable margin.
“Everything’s too loud and too tactile, and if I have to hear one more word-“

Vivec frowns, one hand on his harp, and the other wrapped around his quill as he scribbles something down on a pad of paper.
The he sighs, scratching it out and setting the quill down irritably. “No, that doesn’t sound right either..”
