Pick and scene from the novel then add music to it. Write a paragraph about how that song would work well with this particular scene from the book.
I think this song describes the way Christopher must have felt when he was in the train station and walking to his mother’s house, far away from his father but still not close to his mother yet. And this had been his first time on the train, so he must have been feeling very bewildered and frustrated.

How has your opinion of social media changed from doing this project? Some people look at social media negatively – how would you argue with them that it can be useful and educating?
My opinion of social media hasn't changed, or even remotely quivered, I still firmly stand by the same opinions that I’ve always stood by; Just like everything else, social media can be effective in a positive form, but you have to know the extent of your usage.
It all comes down to how you use it, why you use it, and what kind of people you follow and interact with.
Everyone has different perspectives, and I can see where they're coming from, so I wouldn't really argue with them about my opposed opinion, also because everyone looks at this differently.
But in some ways that social media can be educational is:
you learn about the different opinions and perspectives of other people,
you can use websites, or with the help of people you meet on social media, to help you with your homework and school work,
keep up with the things going on around us,
meeting new people.

Do you like Christopher? What about his father? And his mother? Are they good people? Do you sympathize them when they behave unskilfully, or blame them for their faults? Write two paragraphs.
I don’t particularly like Christopher or his personality, but I accept them because I understand that he has struggles because of his disability slash adversity.
As for his father, I used to see him as a good parent, especially for someone that takes care of his son, who suffers with autism, on his own. But even though I can see that he was hurting when his Christopher’s mother left him, I don't think that justifies his actions.
Christopher’s mother on the other hand, I do like her. I think she's a good parent, even though Christopher said that she had a short temper and would get mad at him sometimes. I don't think leaving him and his father makes her a bad parent. Sure, she moved to somewhere else with another man, but she made sure to write letters every week and send them to her son, all of which his father hid from him.
So in my opinion, no one here is at fault, but I believe they should’ve thought about their disabled son more than their relationship and shouldn't have lied for the sake of their pride.

Isolation
“It was nice in the police cell.”
“I stepped outside. Father was standing in the corridor. He held up his right hand and spread his fingers out in a fan. I held up my left hand and spread my fingers out in a fan and we made our fingers and thumbs touch each other. We do this because sometimes Father wants to give me a hug, but I do not like hugging people, so we do this instead, and it means that he loves me.”
“Sometimes when I want to be on my own I get into the airing cupboard in the bathroom and slide in beside the boiler and pull the door behind me and sit there and think for hours and it makes me feel very calm.”
(Christopher prefers to be alone, but knows he’s unable take care of himself on his own. Is there a contradiction here? AND why is Christopher okay touching animals, but not humans?)
There kind of is a contradiction, but I think he is able to take care of himself on his own, especially since he prefers to be on his own rather than around people.
I think Christopher is okay with touching animals but not humans because he feels safer around them and he doesn't have to worry about saying the wrong thing or that they might say something he wouldn't understand.

“Portraying people with disabilities in entertainment media is unfair”
I do agree with this quote, about people with disabilities AND anyone else with any kind of struggles. But I find it slightly hypocritical and ironic because, even though this most likely hadn't been the author’s purpose for writing a book about a boy with a disability, it seemingly looks like the readers are doing more laughing rather than learning and understanding Christopher’s struggles and disability.

Awareness: Too Young To Wed - Every two seconds, a girl is forced to marry against her will—yet another reason why poverty is sexist. The younger the bride, the more likely she will experience domestic violence, contract HIV, develop complications from pregnancies, or even die during childbirth. Child brides are robbed of the potential and education they deserve, preventing them from achieving their fullest potential.
Stephanie Sinclair, photojournalist and Founder/Executive Director of Too Young To Wed, is on a mission to change this phenomenon. The organization’s mission is to provide visual evidence of the human rights challenges facing women and girls. Too Young to Wed supports local organizations making a difference in the lives of the children who are affected by the harmful practice of child marriage. By documenting the harsh realities of child marriage, Stephanie is raising awareness and affecting policy and change through photography. These are just a few of the photos by Stephanie’s series, view the site to see them all, and read the stories of the girls in the photos above.

I chose Logan Lerman as Christopher, Kristen Stewart as Siobhan, and Bradley Cooper as Christopher’s dad because in the movies that I watched where they were featured, the kind of people they portrayed were similar to the characters of TCIOTDITNT.

“Lying is always wrong: White lies and lies of omission are as immoral as outright lies.”
I agree with this quote because in the book, it’s very evident that every time someone lies, something really bad occurs. There’s a difference between not telling the truth and making it up. An example would be Christopher’s father lying to him about the disappearance of his mother, who actually just had an affair, got divorced to his father, and moved to London. Not dying because of a heart attack like Christopher’s father had claimed.

“Mr. Jeavons said that I liked maths because it was safe. He said I liked maths because it meant solving problems, and these problems were difficult and interesting but there was always a straightforward answer at the end. And what he meant was that maths wasn’t like life because in life there are no straightforward answers at the end.”
This quote implies to what Christopher had just discovered; his mother having an affair with Mr. Shears. He said that there were no straightforward answer in life because, this book had started off as investing the death of a dog and finding out who killed it, but he hasn't been getting any straightforward answers. And then another theres another mystery that he needs to figure out. He learns from Mrs. Shears that his mother had an affair first, and then he discovers the letters addressed to him from his mother, apparently, even though his mother is presumed dead, or so his father says. So now he's got to mysteries on his hand that he has to figure out.
