will reblog this to arrange the posts in chronological order.

an example of a print media is a flyer.
(shouldn’t flyers be thrown to people instead of passing them? or make paper airplanes and let them fly)

this task is about recreating a commercial into a literate version.
We recreated the skin white advance whitening lotion commercial and used a split screen to generate the effect that “everything” that passes through the bottle will magically become whiter.

An I-witness documentary by Jay Taruc entitled Batang Kalabaw is about the children in Agusan Del Sur that are involved in Child Labor.
Instead of hiring older men to help cut trees, a group of children hike the mountains for hours to join loggers an make a living out of carrying a heavy load of wood from the mountain top.

this is a screenshot of an I-witness documentary by Kara David entitled “Sugarol”.
The documentary revolves around a mother that gambles day and night. She can play bingo in the streets all day and go to different wakes when the sun goes down to gamble her money.
The documentary also featured the impact of having a gambler mother to the children. At such a young age, her child would go on different places to collect trash and sell those to earn money.
Despite of the fact that she’s clearly an irresponsible mom, her children still loves her.

Media and Information Literacy consists of the knowledge, the attitudes, and the sum of the skills needed to know when and what information is needed; where and how to obtain that information; how to evaluate it critically and organise it once it is found; and how to use it in an ethical way. The concept extends beyond communication and information technologies to encompass learning, critical thinking, and interpretative skills across and beyond professional and educational boundaries. Media and Information Literacy includes all types of information resources: oral, print, and digital.
