Me when I'm half-Harkonnen, half-Atreides with a Bene Gesserit mother, who seemingly did not know about his Harkonnen heritage, have a special ability no one else has, and also share a connection to the planet Arrakis, and its massive sand worm, Shai-Hulud.

Literally us right now. Except, not a book character.
YES, YES IT IS
*uncontrollable wailing*
Seriously, I have been overwhelmed at every turn by how hard the loss of this character has slapped me in the face. I have genuinely never been this insane about a character in my life.
it's got me feeling all kinda this way about it:

Thank you Rings of Power for making me want to read Dark Elf stories. That wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card but I’ll accept it

Final thoughts ig (no imma keep thinking about them!!)
The last Adariel scene we got screams romance. So much tension from the start, with their last conversation having such a soft conclusion. In the end, Adar realized that her power and light are not for him to covet, and gave her the ring back (in a very soft proposal, if ya ask me) and I just love that dynamic for this hero-villain pairing.
I love that Sam Hazeldine also considered Adar and Galadriel’s relationship having a thin line between romantic and wanting to kill each other which is the perfect recipe for some spicy tension.
