So uh Hikeback doodles because I'm bored as sin. Headcanon names are Octave (Hiker) and Camilo (Driver), these aren't canon at all and Dandy plans on having canon names in the future!!

Also Hiker has a kitty named Cherry and it has braincells of a tuxy cat. Lilly is a good big sister even if she drools all over it.

I know this is an older post, but I love coming back to this. It makes me really, really happy. Harmony is very important to me and improving her is just as important. This was my first CVVC bank (and multipitch) and used the basic moresampler oto generation because I didn't want to think about it too much (which was definitely a massive mistake).

Harmony's voice being described as mature is something I hear quite a bit which is interesting cause I thought my voice was androgynous but still feminine. I plan on giving her a new voicebank to get back into UTAU/Vocal Synths. Her voice will be deeper due to me being on HRT, but she'll still be my Harmony!!

I'm sorry she was trouble to use, but thank you for trying anyways!!

With the update, her character info will definitely change to fit with my transition and personality changing over the years.

Harmony has a website on Wix. Her voicebank has a download link on the Downloads page. The voicebank is 69 MB when unzipped. It has fully generated frq and PMK files.

First Impressions

Harmony is a mature vocal with a rich/velvety tone. Her voice is very powerful, and can even remain so in higher registers.

Configuration

Harmony is a bipitch CVVC recorded at C4 and C5, with a range of F3-A5. Under A3 or so, the voice gets pretty distorted. The higher pitch is sort of? soft but overall has the same tone as the lower pitch.

Generally, the configuration is ok, but a lot of consonants are too cut off and the VCs include too much of the next note. It may seem counterintuitive, but with most endings, you’ll want to mostly include the vowel and dead space after, if any. Some  samples sound distorted in the editor too, like “u n” and “fu”-they almost sound like the wrong vowel is being said. There’s vowel endings to top off phrases, but they don’t work without editing their aliases. These singular romaji vowel syllables are present in almost every line, yet don’t work and are mostly useless. One of the glottal stop samples isn’t otoed at all on either pitch.

Final Thoughts

Harmony is a simple mature voice with a nice tone. She requires a bit of editing to reach max potential/usability, but she’s a great enough voice by default too.

It crawls major newspapers like the New York Times multiple times per day.

For anything other than one of those scrolling updates breaking news pages, you can access it from the Archive usually within an hour or two of it being published. No paywall. You want international news? You got it. Opinion? That too. Recipes? It's all here. Page not yet archived? There's a button for that and now you got it.

There are various paywall-evading extensions and tricks out there, but they don't always work. This does.
