Introducing faytech’s i5-7300U Industrial PC!

Although, we are well-known for our expertise in providing high-quality touch solutions and optically-bonded devices, our product portfolio also includes Industrial PCs (Box PCs)! These IPCs are perfect in combination with any of faytech’s touch monitors, open frame monitors or kiosks.

In this update we are thrilled to introduce our new addition to this product series, the i5-7300U IPC, which is powered by the Kaby Lake U mainboard and has a powerful Intel Core i5-7300U CPU processor with 2.60 GHz, 8GB RAM memory, 128GB industrial SSD, Intel’s HD graphics and integrated W-LAN. On top of that, it is an Intel IoT processor with at least 15 years lifetime availability!

faytech’s Industrial PCs The i5-Core IPC, together with all IPCs in this series, have a strong and robust aluminum case with VESA 100 mounting holes on the bottom, as well as keyhole suspension mounts (20×14 cm) for easy fixation and mounting possibilities. Besides this, faytech’s IPCs are available with 2 different operating systems: Linux Ubuntu and Windows 10 IoT.

faytech’s IPCs do not have a single moving part inside and integrate a complete fanless cooling method. Also, the operating temperature of these products range from -10 ~ +60 °C, thus suitable for most environments!

The connectors and features include an easily exchangeable SSD, grounded DIO, 4x serial ports (of which 2 full-DB9), 4x USB 3.0 (2x USB 2.0 / 2x USB 3.0 for Apollo Lake series), HDMI, DP video connectors, as well as 2x LAN RJ45 Ports, ensuring connection possibilities for most applications in any field! The EASY Shopper sets trend worldwide!

With its Dash Cart, the online retailer Amazon now relies on smart shopping carts to automate supermarket shopping – an innovative concept that the EASY Shopper, exclusively manufactured by faytech, implemented in supermarkets since 2017!

“We produced already more than two thousand intelligent shopping carts and more than one million times shoppers enjoyed an enhanced shopping journey at more and more locations of the German supermarket chain EDEKA. The concept has proven itself, customers, media and test magazines praise the ‘most modern shopping cart in the world’ following EDEKAs marketing – and that way before the first Amazon store starts its test phase later this year.” says Arne Weber, founding manager of faytech AG.

Just like Amazon’s Dash Cart, the EASY Shopper is based on an almost completely automated shopping experience – with the difference that it is already in mass roll out since 2019. The business model is proven and successful. The features include a multi-touch screen, GPS receiver, Wi-Fi, an app, a scale, cameras, bar code scanner and more. The technology allows the cart to track what is scanned and placed in the cart. As with the Amazon Dash Cart, customers can use the touch screen on the front to navigate through products, integrate a shopping list or enter coupon codes. In addition, all information can be easily transferred via the EASY Shopper app. Market operators, in turn, can store their special offers and promotional coupons. In addition, weighing sensors record the quantity of weight-dependent products such as fruit and vegetables. The GPS helps to navigate through the store and find the desired product in the shortest possible time. faytech has developed the EASY Shopper in cooperation with Pentland Firth Software GmbH.

Optical Bonding

All of faytech’s capacitive touch devices are optically bonded by default, ensuring improved stability, reduced reflection, increase in the viewing angle, and enhanced perceived brightness. It also provides resistance to dust particles and shows a better image in general.

1.1mm Cover Glass

All capacitive touch devices up to 21.5″ have as standard 1.1mm cover glass with 7H, ensuring a clean and minimalistic front panel, while still being able to endure the same impact rating as a device with 2mm cover glass.

Antimicrobial Coating

All our Capacitive touch devices will have the option to be coated with Kastus®’s Antimicrobial coating, ensuring a 24/7 day and night germ-free protection coating, which recently is also proven effective against human Coronavirus.

    faytech’s Touch Monitor on Greenpeace’s Vessel the ‘Arctic Sunrise’!

As you know, faytech’s touch devices can be found anywhere across the globe, and thus also on Antarctica, which is well-known for being the coldest, driest, windiest and least inhabited continent on the planet!

The Resistive IP65 Touch Monitor is being operated in the crow’s nest of Greenpeace vessel, the ‘Arctic Sunrise’, during the ‘Protect our Oceans’ expedition. The touch interface is being used for navigation purposes, in order to safely lead the vessel through the ice-ridden waters near Antarctica.

Faytech Announces Partnership with Kastus Technologies

Faytech North America is delighted to announce a partnership with Kastus Technologies which will launch a series of next-generation touchscreens with 24/7 germ free glass coating technology. This strategic partnership will allow faytech to integrate Kastus’ coatings into the manufacturing process in order to produce touch screen panels with an antimicrobial glass treatment.

Faytech’s partnership with Kastus allows the touch screen manufacturer to further develop and enhance touch display manufacturing capabilities in order to bring more value to the customer and provide an even wider range of customizable options. Faytech’s team is already exploring new opportunities in order to fully utilize Kastus’ coating technology across the vertical markets it serves while combining it with the company’s touch and optical bonding expertise

The partnership presents limitless applications but has obvious and immediate use within the medical industry and Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) industry. As hospitals are ranked on the level of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI), the implementation of an anti-microbial touch screen solution represents a substantial tool in reducing HAI rates among hospitals. Similarly, the QSR industry has seen a shift towards the integration of self-checkout kiosks.
