the voice startles her out of concentration, finger slipping from the touch screen control for the marionette's music box. fumbling for the flashlight, fritz nearly knocks it off the desk before getting a good grip on it, shining it into the right floor vent.

"b--bonnie! go on, nothing to see here! shoo, shoo!" a few flickers of the light into the animatronic's face ought to do the trick, right? as she turns it on and off, fritz clumsily grabs the old freddy mask and slips it quickly on her face, eyes glancing at the clock.

a shiver goes down his spine, and the sound of crunching paper reaches his ears -- his paperwork crushed in his balled fist meets his eyes as he glances down. he takes a deep, steadying breath.

he's dead. it has to be you.

"how," he starts, his voice failing briefly before continuing, "do you know he's actually dead?" the thought is both an attempt at distraction, and, deeper than that, a legitimate question. of course william afton wouldn't just take death lying down easily; that wasn't his modus operandi.

"i had my turn already. i spent eleven years in prison for that fucker, because of you brats." his voice shakes again, and tommy clenches his eyes shut. "he actually did everything and left me to clean up and take the fall. go keep bothering him in hell or wherever..." a pause. "no, he'd definitely be in hell. go bother him there."

he jolts back as soon as contact is made, but still not fast enough; he's clammy, and with leaning in jeremy can see that the circles under his eyes have only darkened since last close inspection. 'sick' is almost too kind of a word for how he looks.

"sorry." mike mumbles sheepishly before leaning back in to the table. "yeah -- yeah, i... i've tried. plenty." however, he manages to crack a small, crooked smile at the other's attempt at lightening the mood, even if briefly. point to jeremy?

"i just... can't... i have a bad time sleeping in general. naps too. it's been like that most my life, i can manage it."

he's been seeing garrett in his dreams for years. he's replayed those moments in those woods again and again and again for a large chunk of his life. but jeremy doesn't need to know all that -- it's mike's cross to bear.

another double shift for gordon -- terrifying nighttime guard shift, followed by an exhausting (and sometimes scarier) daytime managerial shift -- but anything for fazbear entertainment! ...and his bills. the words get a snort out of him, and eyes underlined with dark circles flit to his coworker.

"you think i-i haven't tried that plenty of times? kim, i-i would hope you'd know me better by now." a pause, and an awkward cough.

oh, boy, another one of abby's rants -- again, following after mike's response to her imaginary friends. he had said something along the lines of, 'you know they aren't real, right abs? you're the only one that sees them' and she had kicked back with that response.

a sigh, a hand dragged down his face. he was trying in vain to scan want ads, yet again.

a slight scoff that melts into a laugh, and dark eyes dart to the man beside her.

"really, jamie? i'm not even that close to you." a hand rests on shu's hip -- yeah, she was a bit close to him, but there were still a good few inches separating the two... whiiich doesn't last long.

she inches ever closer until they're practically shoulder to shoulder, and arms wrap (loosely) around jamie, leaning down and into him until her chin rests on his shoulder, her chest to his back.
