Witchtober Day 28: Punk Witches

“The freaks come out at night!”

@enbiouscosplay, @chameocosplay, @celestialmuse showing off how truly punk they are as they loiter around the train tracks at night. Causing mischief and mayhem to any that dare pass by no doubt. Fun fact: We ran out of daylight during this shoot and had to shine the headlights of David’s car on the train tracks. I feel like that just makes the whole thing even more punk.

Not gonna lie, this is one of my absolute favorite shoots in this series! It was also one of the ones I felt most strongly about accomplishing, and thanks to @thedarkenedelf’s hard work it happened! I’m so glad we could bring some magic of the sea to you all.

@calendargirlcosplay makes a wonderfully enticing succubus #witch! I had so much fun doing this shoot with her. She put this set together using thrift store finds and decorations she already owned! It turned out beautifully, and set the tone for this provocative shoot wonderfully.

@queen_of_dorkn3ss, @perfectlymacabre, and @thatgaynerdtyler have embraced the basic witch life with some pumpkin spice and spells. This was by far one of my favorite shoots to do! The whole thing was heavily inspired by valfre’s basic witches, especially the skeleton selfie stick!

Isn’t @sigh_less just the perfect stitch witch?! When I was initially planning a sewing themed #witch shoot I knew I was going to want supplies flying around all over the place. Luckily for me, Silas was up for the challenge, and with some thread and a lot of duct tape, we got our perfect #magical seamster look!

Witchtober Day 17: Völva

The völva were witches in the viking age. These predecessors of the medieval witches were seeresses with great powers, that were considered to be allied with the fate goddesses. It was said that a völva could talk to whoever she pleased, putting her above the standard hierarchy of society. @cuddleturtle is definitely embodying the fierce and powerful spirit of a völva here.
