12 signs you have met your Twin Flame.

When I first met my twin flame, I knew immediately what I felt that night was special. It hit me like a bulldozer and was an absolute mind blowing experience. However, it took me the next six years of self discovery and countless times reuniting with him over and over before I finally realized that this only happens once. This person was the only person that will ever make me feel that way, and I had no idea why. Why this person? Why couldn’t I get away from this? It sent me on a mission to discover more, and thats when I found out about the twin flame phenomenon. (You can read my story in my posts below). 

I fully believe that when you meet your twin flame, you will just KNOW. Even if you do not know exactly what is happening to you, you will know SOMETHING is up. I wanted to create a checklist to help those who may be on their own journey of self discovery, taken from my personal experience, as well as inspired by some of the better information online. There is a lot of great information, but also a lot of garbage out there. I took it upon myself to write this hoping to take some of the work out of it for others who might be searching for answers.  

1. Love at first sight.

You immediately feel intensely drawn to them, seemingly without any tangible reason. You might even feel like you are already in love with them, and it feels crazy but right at the same time, because it feels as if you already know them. Your first meeting might feel like a homecoming. 

2. Repeated synchronicities and signs.

You are constantly seeing signs that seem to be directly related to your this person, to the point where you can’t ignore them and pass them off as coincidences anymore. It feels as if the universe is trying to tell you something. 

3. The pull of destiny. 

It seems like even if you tried to forget this person, the universe would just pull you back in over and over. No matter where you are or how far apart you live, there are always opportunities that pop up for you to see each other. Your connection almost feels fated or destined in some way.

4. Obstacles.

“Right person/Wrong time.” You probably live far apart, or meet each other in a time where you are unable to be together for whatever reason. Maybe you are already married or romantically attached to someone else, maybe you have family depending on you, or a job you can’t relocate from, maybe you just have a lot of baggage to sift through before you can deal with such a relationship. There always seems to be obstacles in place when we meet our TF. Just remember, these obstacles are there for a reason, and we must learn and grow from them before we can be reunited. 

5. They open you up to a new way of thinking.

Ever since you met them it feels like you are leaving behind the person you once were and are now ascending to a higher level. Things you once thought and maybe even stuff and people you once liked just don’t do it for you anymore. You feel as though you have learned so much from this person, and this time in your life in general, that no matter what happens you are grateful for the experience. You feel changed. You feel awakened. 

6. Telepathy.

You feel as if you have awakened some type of psychic ability around them. You can sometimes read each others minds, maybe even share dreams. You know stuff about them that they have never said out loud before, maybe you have even predicted a few things that have happened to them before it happens. 

7. Perfect mirrors/Yin Yang.

You can have SO much in common, but at the same time, it seems that whatever you lack, that you really want to see in yourself, they have, and vice versa. Like you are the missing pieces of each other and coming together means completion of your soul. 

8. Its not all sunshine and rainbows.

Being mirrors of each other means sometimes seeing parts of yourself you don’t want to face. The twin flame relationship means dealing with all of your darkest shadows before seeing the light. It is an emotional rollercoaster that has the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I don’t believe this is an absolute given, if you are lucky enough to meet your twin flame in a time when your souls are already in such a high vibration that you can be together effortlessly, then that is amazing! However, I think most of us aren’t that evolved, unfortunately, and have a lot of trials and tribulations to get to that level. 

9. Never truly apart.

You feel their presence in unexplainable ways, maybe hearing their voice in your head, or the touch of their hand. You just feel like even when you are apart, there is always a little piece of them with you. Additionally, when you are together again in the physical, it seems as though you never parted. There is never any awkwardness or feeling like too much time has passed. Years could go by and you would just slide right back into each other. 

10. Euphoria 

You feel a sense of energetic euphoria when you are with them. It can feel overwhelming at times but you know you just want more. After leaving, and being separated from them once again, it can feel like being kicked out of Heaven. 

11. No one can compare.

The connection you feel with this person is so enchanting that you get disillusioned with everyone else. Their looks, personality, mannerisms, joys and sorrows are perfect in your eyes and no one else comes close. You might find love and happiness with someone else, (and thats wonderful!!), but that one intoxicating person who lights your soul on fire will always pop in your head from time to time. 

12. A mission to become whole.

This person inspires you on so many deep levels. You suddenly feel a need for completion in your life. Not just with them, but in all aspects. You want to tie up loose ends, move on from things that are not serving you, and move forward with things that are. You want to reach the highest potential of your own life and happiness and feel a great motivation inside yourself to do so.
