#long story short #it was my father who turned the Silmarillion into the fairy tales he told me #I really loved it and wondered where he knew such great fairy tales # #For quite a long time I thought he invented them himself #Then, in the 6th grade, we read The Hobbit as a school book and I fell completely in love with this world #Importantly for this story, I live in small town in Poland #Which meant that getting hold of a rare book item was very difficult #I literally remember that when I was Max, about 13 years old, my dad won the Silmarillion for me #I just cried and thanked him for probably a week #Generally, whenever my parents saw a book that I didn't have yet, they bought it for me #Some, such as "The Ring of Morgoth", had to be bought in the original because there is no translation into my native language yet. #In the end, I ended up writing a bachelor's degree related to Tolkien

I'm curious.

I was bored lately and this is what I created... Mewtwo OC idk...

I don't know if it's interesting, but I think it turned out quite nice for something quick.

And yes, in digital and paper versions at the same time because I couldn't decide which one looked better.

Avallach/Ciri/Roche as the new Avallach/Lara/Cregennan?

To be honest... probably not. there are many reasons that make this dynamic quite problematic. First of all, Vernon is not a character from the Witcher saga, he was invented by CD Projekt Red for the games and appears for the first time in The Witcher 2 Assassin of Kings, so he has no canonical relationship or contact with Ciri. In the third part of the games, he helps Geralt in the fight against the Wild Hunt, but we do not find out whether he had closer contact with Ciri during the fight or during preparations.

For a change, Avallac'h appears for the first time in "The Tower of the Swallow" and has real contact with Ciri (which, as we know, results in her being manipulated). After the events of the books in the games, we only see him in "The Wild Hunt", where he spends time with her again, but mainly out of the players' eyes. However, it can be concluded that it was quite a significant period of time during which they had to stay together like it or not.

However, if I had to say which of the two Ciri would choose... objectively, I must say that it would probably be Avallac'h. We know for sure that she spent a lot of time with him, but we don't know what their relationship and attitude towards each other was like while escaping from the Wild Hunt. So one could hypothetically assume that (especially knowing what Ciri was like in the books) something was happening between them

However, as far as my personal opinion is concerned, yes, very much so as much as I wanted to, I don't think I would end up with one of them in the end.

Okay... at first I thought there was a mistake and this question was for someone whose blog simply has a similar name. however, after I received the second question... oh..

To answer your question: honestly? I think nothing. I had to prepare a bit and asked my friends who are fans of the universe. most of them haven't even heard of this ship, and the rest who have met it before have a rather ambivalent attitude towards it.

So that would be my argumentation.

First of all, while being an elf was undeniably difficult and dangerous in the First Age, there were places where it was a little more stable than in others. The second important thing is what specific group of elves one would belong to - noldor and sindar are rather not the best choice (unless we want to make it more "interesting"). Then you would have to think about who exactly would be in power (a choice worth considering, especially with the noldor). And thirdly - which was really the main argument for me - being an elf can be reborn.

Yes, I know it would be hard no matter how well I play it, but basically, with a bit of luck, I could survive (and even IF NOT, if all goes well, there's a chance to come back).

I am deliberately not adding an 'Other' option! You have to pick form the above.

And yes, I know it's supposed to look more like a wolverine... but here's a belligerent, blood-sucking kitty with spikes on its back.

I recently decided to protect my old editions of "The Lord of the Rings" - here are the effects of my work - protective bindings made of artificial leather.

The books are arranged in order from left to right.

Definitely the most difficult to do were the titles and the image on "The Fellowship of the Ring". In fact, initially I was planning to choose something that would more closely reflect the content - as with the other two volumes (because you know the two towers on the cover of "The Two Towers" and the tree of Gondor on the cover of "The Return of the King") but everything I chose before had too many small elements to easily transfer them with a stick to the surface of the leather.

I know that this time it's nothing to do with JRR Tolkien's work, but give me just a moment.I want to tell you a story behind this drawing. But one by one: well, I live in Poland. We had an incident recently. Panicked woman called to a Krakow Animal Care Society .She informed there is an animal, which she called "lagun" sitting in a tree in front of her block for two days. The inspector calmed the woman down and determined that it might be an legwan. The notification was accepted, however, when the appropriate services arrived, on the tree was not an legwan ... but a croissant.

I couldn't help but draw my version of this "amazing creature". I hope you like it.

I would like to add that there was even a song about the lagun (it is only in Polish, but if any of you want to listen to it, I will gladly add a link to it and a translation so that you can fully enjoy it) ☺️
