Please tell me you're not buying into "trans women are still male". Female-Fronted-Hardscore is ALREADY inclusive of trans women. Or should be, if you're keeping your mind right.

Was this implied anywhere on the blog?! The reason why I considered a name change for the blog was because I had referred to a couple of frontpeople as female and I later found out that they did not identify with this gender.

The Elementary Revolt

Maladjusted is a four piece band from Los Angeles, CA who formed in early 2014.  Maladjusted play a killer style of hardcore, punk, powerviolence with paint peeling female vocals.  Death Is The Only Relief is the band's debut eight track EP, which was May 7th, 2014.  Death Is The Only Relief features nine tracks of blistering, devastating, and ultra-brutal hardcore, punk, powerviolence that's an absolute must listen for fans of Spine, No Statik, Vaccine, and Torso.  Seriously, this EP totally kicked my ass!  Highly recommended!

Anti-Corpos -“Sororidade”

Anti-Corpos is a punk/hardcore band from Sao Paulo. They are in your face, unapologetically political, and could probably kick all of our collective asses. They’ve been together for ten years, releasing a handful of singles and EPs along the way. Their latest, “Contra Ataque,” put out this past February is their most polished and arguably their strongest release yet. Anti-Corpos’ style is straight up hardcore punk, fast and to the point, with a few melodic 2 step-y breakdowns in there that have some really great guitar parts. The lyrics are anti-capitalism, anti-state, and a punch right in the patriarchy’s face (for those of you who, like me, don’t understand Portuguese, many of their lyrics on bandcamp are translated into English! which is very nice of them to do).

Yo, as far as I know the vocalist of Agatha (Seattle) isn't/doesn't id as a woman. I think this blog is rad & a lot of the bands rule, but you really should make sure that they are indeed women, otherwise that's pretty disrespectful to trans folks.

Thanks for this info and I just want to say that I do not intend to disrespect or upset anyone. Sorry if I have, and I will make adjustments to the blog if people call me out on anything. I generally scour the internet for sources relating to 'female fronted hardcore' or receive submissions.I understand that this is a huge flaw with this blog and classifying a band as 'female fronted', even though I do not personally know the individual's gender, is quite superficial. Over the past couple of years I have come to realise this flaw much more. I do tag/describe bands as identifying as queer on this blog whenever it is known, as I did with Agatha.

I'm not sure what the quick and easy fix for this would be. One would be to change the description + blog title and I am open to suggestions about this issue. I hope this reply does not come across as ignorant and if anyone would like to discuss this then feel free to message me.

Backflip is a hardcore band from Lisbon, Portugal est. in 2008. They play high energy songs that incorporate melodic riffs with a punishing beatdown style and hooky choruses. They've played with bands such as No Turning Back, Vera Cruz, Dog Eat Dog, We Ride, as well as Portuguese bands like For The Glory, Devil in Me and Switchtense.

FOX REACTIONS

Government hate, animal love and positively god free. Fox Reactions are from New York and whilst their sound remains grounded in hardcore punk, their songs have an almost pop-punk melodic kick.
