I know I don't usually X-post on here but I think we as a community need to spend more time discussing the unhinged thirst trap fever dream that is Uncanny X-Men #231:

"Wow!" you're thinking. "Those sure are some tiny shorts! Surely the whole issue won't just be Colossus's bulging, shiny muscles bursting out of them!" WRONG. The ENTIRE THING is just Colossus being a Tom of Finland character for 22 pages.

Rogue immediately calls it out just so everyone understands what they should be looking at. He is LITERALLY so hot he burns her hand when she touches him. Like that's not a joke, that's a thing that happens in the comic.

I know we don’t get happily ever afters in real life. I’m a hopeless romantic, not a total fucking idiot. We went to the supermarket yesterday and we were wandering around and, at one point, he took my hand, because that’s the kind of thing he does. And instantly, I got flustered. Residual anxiety. Remembrance of past battery. Enduring scars. Even though I know I’m hardly likely to get my head kicked in by the salad bar, PDAs can still make me nervous. And then he said, gentle as anything, and I’m not going to do the accent… “If there’s a gay kid in here with his folks, frightened that he’s a freak, don’t you think that it might give him hope, seeing two guys wandering around, being themselves, getting their groceries, like everyone else?” If happiness is a place… it’s the biscuit aisle in Sainsbury’s. Alright, so I'm enjoying Wednesday, but the thing I don't get is why Wednesday Addams found out that the guy she was into was a ravening monster and that was somehow a turn off. Like, she's an Addams. All her favourite people are mad, murderous criminals.

Ideal ending is Wednesday and Tyler being in a situationship where he murders people who get in her way and leaves them on her doorstep like a cat. She tases him and threatens him with knives, then they make out about it over the dead body while threatening to kill each other. They're not together. She sees other people. If they can't survive the Hyde that's stalking her, they're not cut out for a relationship with an Addams.

Her family are all very supportive of her relationship ("It's not a relationship, mother. I will kill him.") and they give her romantic ideas for how to try to kill him. Tyler thinks that he and Fester are mortal enemies, but actually Fester just impaled him in that spike trap as a family bonding activity. Tyler has thrown Pugsley through seven walls so far, and counting.
