     “Th-The technology here is… scary.”

Well, that probably wasn’t the word she didn’t want to use at first, but after watching a poor man almost get ran over by a speeding car ( as what they called it ), she was considering that maybe there was some frightening things about this world. The two men had argued loudly, causing Sakura to wince a little. She thought about stepping in to help, but the two men ended up storming off.

The shrine maiden looked at the woman next to her, who had also witnessed what had happened. She didn’t look like one of the more in-placed, perfectly designed citizens walking around here, so maybe she was a captive in the city as well.

     “This place… isn’t the most friendliest place, is it? I wonder if      this is what ‘modern day’ city life is like…”

… Ah.

Having someone stare at you really wasn’t a good feeling, at least to Sakura. It made her feel like she did something wrong, or was embarrassing herself in some way. At first, she thought about just ignoring it and moving on, but… if someone had a problem with her, they should just tell her, right? Besides, she herself needs to work on confronting people.

So, the shrine maiden turned towards the person staring at her, gripping her staff. He seemed... normal enough, so maybe this won’t turn out bad.

     “C-Can I help you…?”

The least bit intimidating, of course, but she’s trying every day. Progress is slowly being made.

     “I had no idea they had words for all this...! This is exciting to      learn about!”

     “I’m stuck here, but... what do I do now?”

She should look for a job, but nothing’s really grabbing at her. Oh, but she shouldn’t be picky either... Any kind of job should be fine with her. Maybe she should find a hospital to work at.

Oh geez, as if Sakura needed any other reason to feel small and insignificant, she was standing right next to a rather tall woman at the train station. She was very pretty, there was no doubt about it, but the shrine maiden felt so small standing next to her. Maybe she should read some tips on how to grow a little taller.

Still, just clamping up and silently standing there probably wasn’t a good idea, especially since she was trying to come out of her shell a little more. With a breath, Sakura turned to the woman with a polite, though still nervous, smile.

     “I-It’s a nice day out, isn’t it? It’s rather warm for this kind of season…      It’s nice, though.”

Well, that was… a weird looking creature.

The thing with incredibly long longs, not the human standing next to it ( although he certainly stood out too ). It looked like it was part bug or something, though it looked pretty cute ( some bugs could be really ugly up close, she had to admit ). She knelt down, examining it a little at a respectable distance.

     “Hello there…”

She greeted the creature in a friendly way, before trying to make eye contact with the male that was with it. It wasn’t exactly working, as her gaze shuffled a little to the ground.

     “U-Um.. What is this creature, if I may ask? I’ve never seen      anything like it before! It’s very interesting.”

     “O-Oh… I think we made a wrong turn…”

Trying to help someone who was also new to this place was a lot easier said than done. Having to bump into the tactician and introducing themselves to each other, the two figured it might be better if they explored the city together, in hopes they could run into someone they knew. Of course, that wasn’t happening easily and the two ended up getting more lost than ever.

Luckily they were in a safer part of the city and even if they weren’t, Sakura had her festal and Robin had his tome and wooden sword.

     “I… I’m sorry, Robin-san. It seems like I’ve gotten us lost. I-I mean,      at least we can go back the way we came from!”

She still felt pretty bad that they wasted some time, though.

Being in such an unfamiliar place was scary to Sakura. At least when they were in the Invisible Kingdom, she had her siblings with her, even if it was just one in the beginning. But here? She was… alone.

Alone in a place that looked so different from home. Alone without her siblings, or even one of her friends.

She tried not to think about it too hard, not wanting to upset herself even further, and decided to wander in a shop to try and get her mind off of things. From what the sign said, this was an… arcade? It was written in Nohrian English, a language she had some understanding of ( though, here, it was like she was fluent in the language. )

One if the machines look rather interested to her and the shrine maiden reached out to poke it…. Only to be startled when it started to beep loudly at her. She did nothing wrong, of course as it was just making noises because that’s what it did, but in that moment she felt like she just committed a crime.

     “E-Eek!”

The pink haired girl stepped back, holding her staff defensively. Maybe someone should step in before she starts beating it mercilessly with it.

Well over a month was a long time to spend alone- especially when you’re someone who lives in constant fear of abandonment.

It goes, of course, without saying, that such a familiar face was more than welcome in Takumi’s eyes- his very own beloved sister stood among the crowd, and he could only hope and pray that she would be okay here.

Walking forward slowly, almost not believing his eyes, the prince poses a slow question, disbelief heavy in his voice-

“Sakura? Is that you?”

The current situation at hand was a lot for Sakura to take in.

One minute, she was doing something back at the castle and the next minute, she was in a strange room with such an ominous person speaking to her… Though she had gotten a lot braver as the war went on, the shrine maiden had such a bad feeling about this place that it caused her to shake.

Exiting the dark and stuffy room didn’t help much either. She was surrounded by loud, unfamiliar noises. Carts sped past her and honked so loudly, causing her to jump from her spot. Her hands went to her ears for a moment, covering them as she winced. She did her best to calm herself down, taking a deep breath - in and out. A few more times...

The only thing that pulled her back was the familiar voice of her brother. Spun around, maroon eyes found Takumi’s brown ones and the sight of him alone allowed relief to wash over her instantly.

     “T-Takumi…? You’re here too? I’m so relieved…!”

But, if he was here… did that mean Ryouma and Hinoka were here as well? And what of Azura and Corrin?

sakura ❀ fire emblem: fates

youngest princess of hoshido aka fantasy japan

certified healer of the army, tho she uses a bow and arrow as well ( which she does not have atm )

very polite and kind to people, usually willing to give anyone a chance

however she’s extremely anxious around people. probably has anxiety to a degree. she doesn’t stutter too much but she might clamp shut if she’s nervous

is a lot closer to her brother takumi than she is ryouma and hinoka, tho she admires the two very much, she tends to go to takumi more about her issues

also very close to her sister azura due to her always being around ever since she was younger and admires her other sibling, kamui / corrin

has extreme guilt related to kamui / corrin; many of the other shrine maidens in the castle spread a rumor that sakura was the one to be taken to nohr rather than the much loved sibling of hers. though she’s mostly gotten over it after speaking with them, she still has some of that guilt within her.

can play the koto and make dolls out of people she likes. it’s less creepy than it sounds; it helps her should anyone she loves dies / is separated from her for a real long time

small and ready to fight ( not really but she’ll fight if she needs to )
